KG that beetle on the fish at the end is a "toe biter", or Giant water bug. They actually sting with their tongue and it hurts, a lot. Definitely ruined a few summers for me lol

Here in NC, we call em River Robins. Redbreast Sunfish is the specie. Tear beetle spins up!! My son watches every video , and me too 😉, most times. Have a great day.

That bream in the beginning might have been a hybrid longest and green sunfish. Most of the bluegill/bream species can hybridize.

The golden shiners, were called “roaches” by the ole timers here in N.C. , back in the day. We would use bread 🍞 dough balls to catch the “roaches”. Make excellent big bass bait!!

@@zaedynrogers5090 , the shiners caught with bread dough balls, on a hook, certainly do make excellent bait. A lot of guides on Florida’s big bass lakes, use em for their clients. No shame in hooking a live “roach” , and either straight lining , or a big cork , to catch a 6-10 lb Bass.

Kendall, Kendall - CAST NET technique. When you are on a bridge, you can hang your net over the side, hold it near the horn (plastic thingy) and spin it in one direction. Then start spinning it in the other direction, fast. Once it is completely "unspun" quickly pull it up a little then drop it (all in one motion). It will open up for you. KZbin this for how to do it (this is not me) - Best way to cast net at Skyway fishing pier

We call those warmouth in Wisconsin they’re a hybrid between a bluegill/sunfish/pumpkinseed and a largemouth bass hence the bigger mouth but panfish coloration.

Just wanna say a trick I learned, for catfish lines small treble hooks work best for setting overnight. They also work like a charm for bullheads!

I have that same scope on my AR. You'll like it I think. Edit: that "beetle" is called a giant water bug or toe biter. It most likely killed the fish. They have a pretty painful bite.

The bug @4:03 is a water bug and they are called toe biters. They have a needle like proboscis that comes out and they eat frogs fish and anything really but its not a Beatle per say because they can swim. They are called water bugs or beetles and he had himself a meal 😆

You're seriously the only one I've ever seen roll their cast net back up.. I keep mine in the 5 gallon bucket I use as my bait bucket, with the aerator and everything. And on a funny note my deer rifle for years was an iron sight SKS all stock. I even had stripper clips for it just for fun

I live in Kentucky i actually have a darter in my fish tank caught it one day in a minnow trap, stood out pretty well cause it has a red fin and a blue fin. crazy what you can find in Kentucky waters.
