What Lives In This MASSIVE SPILLWAY After Being DRAINED?!? (SURPRISING)

We came, we saw, we caught shad on weed.. Not it's time to see if any of the "sPiLLwAy MoNsTeRs" still exist. This place used to be FULL of big fish of various species, but I had me doubts if any new ones got transplanted, once the gates were opened. The results, were mildly surprising. PAAA POWW!!!

I was at that spillway the day they let water back into it. They opened and closed each gate one at a time. Every time a gate was being tested you could see fish sliding down the damn. Some seemed to be decent in size. I also had a chance to talk to one of the guys that was in the nearly fully drained spillway and he had a picture of a 65+ pound flathead from there.

If you want to catch loads of shad very easily use a size 8 or 10 sabiki rig. Four or five on each cast and more lively than shad caught in cast nets.

With the shad, what about using green food dye to dye bread, and using a bread punch? Just need a tube, a plug about 1/2 or 2/3 the thickness of a slice of bread from the end of the tube to compress the bread against, put it in and twist like ur making cookies, and voila, compressed ish bread disc that stays on the hook. Need to cut a gap one side, to make it easier for baiting up. Can use several discs on a bigger hook too for carp etc, stays on better than just ripping a bit of and compressing it around ze hook

Every time I do the bobber I get frustrated and switch to a bottom rig and get a fish so quick. So then it makes me to not want to use a bobber very often. But on the rare occasion I use a bobber when I'm not catching them on the bottom cause there suspended. But it rarely happens. Great video stache cam man.

There's a huge lake spillway in Oklahoma called Lake Eufala(yoo-fall-uh) that has monster catfish & stripers & I saw dudes using remote control boats & they'd lay their bait rig on it(usually shad lol) and drive it way over by the dam itself & give it a yank, free-spool it & hit those deep places you could never reach with an actual cast, even with those big surf rods they use. Catfishin' is a religion down here. (I was always more of a bass fisherman)

How deep is that and how far is the spillway wall from you? It's always cool to see what's in there after they drain it... weird structures... probably got all the big ones out.. why did they drain it again?

10-15' deep, probably 50-75 yards away. When they drained it the relocated: 1000+ channels 300+ flatheads 300+ wipers 300+ walleyes And some other stuff!
