I had an encounter with something last year. I wasn't anywhere near but after that i'd be incredibly careful poking about in caves in the middle of nowhere. After some research the closest i could come up with was something called the 'Cheshire Troll'. Debbie of BBR investigates did a pod cast on my experience a short while ago.
@waylingtons yep.... It described what I'd seen, with a couple of other witnesses, perfectly. Admittedly I was still half mile away or so, the finer details I didn't see. But yep, cheshire troll. Lololol

Quote: "...some big cats use *latrines!"* (big litter trays --ye, seriously!) Ref: Urban Edge Wildlife. So you might of hit a complication that is seldom talked about in the UK, which is: Big Cat Britain! And due to several personal experiences and observations, I done a deep dive into Big Cat Britain! And the main points I'd like to share with you guys are: a) As Big Cats eat a lot of bones, their scat can look fossilised /white from bones particles. b) *they typically leave people alone as they see "us" a annoying and potentially dangerous!* c) they are "patient" and *very sharp thinking* not like a bigger version of a domestic cat! d) if you ever feel a *DEEP DEEP primal fear* at your core, a big cat is probably watching you. f) they're ambush predators and prefer Edge Habitat terrains between woodlands and fields. e) (when a big cat is nearby, one little tweety bird might express an intense warning song!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/on2xaoF_q5mAiNE www.youtube.com/@Lunathepantera .

@liamb63106 күн бұрын
So there pulling themselves over the logs and not leaving much tracks. Scats 30-100mm = mammal, Bluey/ purple = berry eater, No longer bluey = no more berrie , oily = high intake of fish.....Its most likely an otter and the other end of that cave is near water. Also otters will attack dogs
@loghoppers6 күн бұрын
@liamb6310 Our only issue with this is... we're on a mountain, and no fish nearby, not even in the river at the bottom of the mountain. It's very compelling, but how else would they be dieting without the berries, eg, winter? I'm going to have a read up as it's not really one we've had a lot of experience with. Thank you for your intriguing comment. it certainly does make sense in some aspects. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼

@keithtomey5046 black oily crap bigger than a human head? And not to mention... no tracks. We've been living this way 10yrs plus.. and we are proficient trackers or all uk wildlife species. But this has got us stumped... we've lived along side badger with huge setts and watched them play as the sun went down too. We've never seen anything like it. We've done a reverse image and got Google, AI and such, along with books for ref, images and so on... it's saying bear poop at the moment, no sign of any other scat in the area apart from one smaller turd on the huge bigger than head size pat. Bare in mind... it's a 78⁰ slope in a natural forest area on the top of a mountain side. We've resided in the area for quite some months on and off and have not heard, nor seen any other animals apart from rabbit, fox, Jay's, buzzards, the odd kite, ravens, crows Robins and such. But badgers or signs of any other animal... are scarce to say the least. Cheers for commenting... any other ideas? HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼

@mallyredfearn6834 hmmm, good thinking. The turds are huge tho and don't really resemble any typical bird crap. But would explain the lack of tracks. Ironically, when I saw that I thought bear, but obviously it cannot be because all the American KZbin videos I’ve seen it in it looks exactly like that but what do I know.
16:35 - you get bears across large parts of mainland Europe, not just in America btw Also, I’m curious why you think it was living in the cave where the latrine was? You said that around the cave, there’s no footprints & scat is the only sign - could it not just be that the cave is a latrine, not where it lives?
@loghoppers6 күн бұрын
Maybe, but theres crap is inside the cave and entrance. And we are very aware that there are the European brown bears and all sorts, we also know black bears, tigers, lions and elephant etc where in transported in tunnels and caves for the circuses, not to mention the illegal breeders and so on. Very aware, very much switched on... I'm just not going to sit here naming all the different countries bears reside in as our viewers are mainly in the UK and USA, based on our youtube analytics etc. So not going to start calling out Germany or Russia as we don't get many viewings from those areas. But yes, still a possibility. Just trying to figure out why it's on the side of a mountain forest on a 78⁰ slope, and why there are not tracks... guessing as another suggested, that the cave has more than one entrance and could be using it as a network. We are confident that the trail cam will put all this to bed, video update coming as soon as we find out. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
