Its also the proof that a meh ppv can be changed by one match. No offense to the wrestlers on this ppv but it wasnt actually that good. Yet the one match elevates it. The inverse can happen which will hurt the matches that came before it. A lot like the most recent ppv EC. I thought the last match was how it should of gone yet as a mania event its awkward. It takes away from the ppv.

2 things about this pay per view are pretty much god tier. 1. John Cena actually took this shit serious instead of just losing and then laughing about it. 2. The pay per view peaks up to the main event. The ladder matches and everything are awesome and then it just hits that high note with Punk’s entrance and when he won the title. God. It’s phenomenal. A lot of wrestling fucking sucks. But when it’s good? God damn.

I remember watching Raw each week and MITB that year and just remember Punk just stagnating when he jumped to Raw after his incredible rivalry with Rey Mysterio. The pipebomb came out of nowhere and it set the wrestling world on fire! There are few moments in wrestling that are truly special and the feeling around them can't be duplicated. This whole storyline has got to be the best thing WWE has ever done or will ever do. AEW is great but it can't top this time in wrestling.
