This game is tooo goated. When 2k20, 22, and 23 failed me, 2k19 was still there. 2k24 is starting to shapeup to be a good game, but before this latest update I was close to returning to 2k19.

God I still pray that one day the 2K19 servers would reopen so I could feel like a *GOD* again. Although I already feel bad enough that I didn’t play it online until the final 5 months, but I am glad to say though that playing it offline for so long helped me so much to train for those online matches and becoming one of the hottest 2K19 performers ever to never win a League Championship (post Styles Tower thing where you coulda won a million dollars). But honestly I still play 2K19 though for the created AEW wrestlers that never made it to the initial Fight Forever roster. But like I still yearn for the days of kicking absolute ass but at the same time having so much fun (especially with the Steel Cage matches that me and my then-friend did). Also to be honest this is practically the reason why I haven’t touched a 2K game since. I don’t care about 2K20, 2K22 or 2K23 and so on. You’ll never convince me that those games take as much skill and are as much fun as 2K19 was (and I was playing WWE games since SVR 2006). As of now though until the 2K19 servers are ever reopened (a man can dream), I am sticking with Fight Forever through and through. Thank you. Quick/Lunge Grapples, Chain Wrestling and CAW Body Morphing are things that 2K19 has that 2K24 still doesn't even have. They need to bring those things back otherwise 2K19 will remain the best IMO

I think what makes this game work so well is that perfectly melds the simulation style of gameplay with a more fluid, kinda arcadey (peak arcadey is something like the pace games like WWE 12 - 2k14) had, what this results in is like the perfect pace and gameplay for a wrestling game, especially if you're looking to play wrestling matches more like those popularized by NJPW and ROH, whilst people might slower matches to watch, when playing the games yourself, this is a far more enjoyable pace to play with

I really miss Bret harts hair in 2k19. I don’t understand what 2k is thinking by giving him a damn mop on his head now. 2k24 is just disappointing. With the CC image but glitch and now I can’t delete caws from the deletion utility I just don’t even play it anymore. 2k still don’t know how to make these games without horrible glitches. It’s been 10 long years and they still can’t get it right.

I have a copy of this on disk for Xbox and I will never get rid of it I have played 22, 23, and 24 since. They are a varying degrees of quality although 24 finally feels solid. But between the roster and what I think is the peak of Yuke's perfecting the gameplay style they switched to with the next gen version of 2K15 where they started to go for that more simulation and presentation focus, I will always have a reason to keep this game as an alternative. While I agree that it is less pure simulation than The prior couple of titles, I feel like it is still a drastically different style of more arcade like gameplay in the new games. And I still think there's a little bit more control pner my character, and kind of a simplification that is missing from the newer ones (why do I have to press an extra button to perform grapple moves and irish whips in the newer games?) The only thing I still despise in 2K19 compared to the newer ones is the submission minigame. But for longer more in-depth matches, a roster that is just a fantastic mix of golden era, new generation era, attitude era, ruthless aggression, and modern era Superstars across WWE and WCW, And most importantly a universe mode that isn't completely broken. This is a game that I want to make sure is always on standby. It might not be in the absolute top best wrestling games, but I think it is easily one of the best wrestling games

A system where it’s not about button mashing, it’s a game that takes actual skill to master. AI that isn’t super retarded and actually plays closest to an actual wrestler opponent. Graphics that still hold up. Servers that barely ever crashed. Fuck ton of customization making every match and every mode feel fresh, even if you’re just playing with yourself. A simple control scheme to pick up and learn, but again, takes *actual skill to master* and when you do, you will feel like a god. Also the very cleanest move animations you will ever see. Plus the game is still alive 6 years after it was released. People are *STILL* playing it.

You sort of forget who exactly is in the game unless you scroll like some ancient scholar.

2k19 is not better than 2k24. 2k19 was wayyy too slow. And 2k19 was also extremely easy on Legend difficulty so it had no replay value for me. 2k24 is the best wwe2k game 2k has made.

2K18 was the slow one. Also you do know that you have the ability to change the momentum of the match from Slow to Fast in case you had problems with pacing.
