Arcane problem is mini burn in some pack if you delay it you are doing low dmg but if you use it you Fuck up your surge windows . Frost rng with spellfrost is madness you have 0 proc in 10 mob pull then it proc twice on a 3 mobs pack it sucks. If fire had more single dmg would be the most flexible spec

I think the main defining factor for people preferring to push with FDK is survivability. At high levels defensives become a limiting factor and FDK living through everything without any externals saves more defensives for the rest of the group.

How do you sim yourself for a dungeon and or raid ? i use 5 minutes. I use 1 min for packs. But the numbers feel way above what i can make out of it. And it has allways been ok previus expansions. This time around it does not work. Can you help me here please ? :)

Just 5 mins 1 target for ST and 5 targets for AOE. Then make a compromise if the 2 results differentiate, but I usually just go with the ST sim.

Enhance and Frost DK nerfs definitely make Frost/Arcane a top contender again, especially Frost Mage.

Great video! I wouldn't say arcane does less ST than frost tho. Only enha shamans can do my ST on bosses as arcane in +14s and I play both specs in m+/raid. Boltslinger could do that, but you don't play it in keys anyway

I think Arcane does slightly slightly less, prolly like 50k less which is whatever (as per the logs I showed, minimal diff) it's the overall / AOE where it struggles ye.

honestly if they make fire mage play like frostfire in frost spec and buff the damage, it would actually be decent. the problem is the number just isnt there. when i compare instant cast damage, pyroblast hit about 500k while you have a barage doing 2mil damage, and frost icelance does over 700k. instant cast 500k pyro is complete undertuned...

Myslím, že Arcane máge má jednu výhodu, kterou si nezmínil a tou je burst dmg, proto například do NW nebo MISTS hraju Arcane mage, protože Stitchflesh a první boss v Mists mají tyhle DMG okna. To je podle mě taky dobrej poznatek a je fajn switchovat 6:2 frost/arcane. I think, that arcane mage has one signifacnt advantage which you did not mention and its burst damage. That's why I play Arcane in NW or MISTS, those dungeons has dmg windows like 1st boss in MISTS or 3rd boss in Stitchflesh when fast spymaster + BL burst makes the fight very easy.

The complaint about it’s all Aug shaman dk is in high keys everyone just swaps to the “best” that’s just how it is. Also it’s funny that for one season the mage is complaining about something else being op lol
