It is also very important on which timeframe you run the various strategies! You may also need to compare BTC, SOL, ETH ....Meme coins on different timeframes (1h, 4h D or also by more noisy timeframes like, 30min, or 15min! Just saying!

Yes very good point this :) I run my strategies on the 1D chart (because I don't trade memes). If you trade memes, then yes, lower timeframes might be better.

My goal is to teach people how they can do it themselves. Sharing the final result, does not result in people learning - no shortcuts - it's better this way.

How do I write a strategy so that it opens trades at the moment the signal appears, and not when the candle closes?

That is possible when using strategy.entry() with a limit order (one of the parameters). You give it a price and it triggers at that price (intra candle - aka. even before it closes). You can also ask ChatGPT o1-preview (I show how to use it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJi9mGabpq-YjKc) to give you the code for that :)

I made the opening and closing with a limit order, but everything is exactly the deal opens at the close of the candle. Stop and take work exactly. Maybe it's because I'm using a free plan?

Do you ever run your analysis where the market breaks even over a period of time?

You mean ranging markets? This is a trend following strategy. As long as there are trends (up or down) it works. If the price is sideways forever, it does not work - no strategy works in such environments.

@@michaelionita Yeah a ranging market. I'm quite ignorant to trading, but buy high sell low works in all conditions (this is with perfect knowledge of future or where the market will go). So is all of this based of assuming crypto will just go higher?

@@ferg You mean buy LOW and sell HIGH right? ;) If markets don't go up over time, nobody makes money. That is a prerequisite for all markets. If a market/asset goes down only, there are not many opportunities to make money. It can only go to 0 and that's it, it's over. But if an asset goes up over time, then there are infinite opportunities over time. There is no price limit to the upside. Makes sense?

It will know when the dips and peaks and will buy/sell accordingly. Am I missing something? If an asset only goes down, you can short it before zero before the market is dead.
