He struggled back in karting to find the money to continue as it’s very expensive, but fortunately he got help after a while from his friend, Jules Bianchi, past French F1 driver, that was (‘was’ because he died in 2015) 8 years older than him and Charles older brother’s (Lorenzo) bestfriend (I think). Jules made Charles and Nicolas Todt* met, Nicolas is a driver’s manager and sponsored Leclerc to continue the sport. Nicolas is still Charles’ manager even today. So no, he wasn’t born in a rich family. His mom was (and still is) an hairdresser and I don’t know what his dad’s job was but he still wasn’t rich *Nicolas Todt: he’s Jean Todt’s son, Jean was Ferrari team manager during the Schumi years, the past director of Peugeot in rally, and the past FIA président till not so long ago (till around 2022). He now works at the UN as an ambassador for road safety. He basically is a legend. (I explained to you all that cause I dunno if you know the sport)
