When he went to the Rockets people were already saying he was washed. From there, he screwed up OKC's plans to tank, and continued to do his thing in Phoenix. He's starting to slow down in Golden State, but you still have to game-plan for the dude. People been sleeping on CP3 for like 7 years. The dude is a basketball savant and he could play in the NBA until he's 50 if he wanted to.

Chris Paul will forever be known as a top ten point guard of all time, and maybe even top 5 in the eyes of some. He is the best two-way point guard to ever play this game (and I would say all-around, but that was Magic, the best all-around player of all time aside from LeBron). He can literally do anything that you can imagine from a 1: defend the perimeter at an elite level, pass at an elite level, score at an elite level, perform elite in the clutch, handle at an elite level: he just has not had the team until 2017-2018, where he unluckily had the misfortune of playing the Golden State Warriors lol... and we all know they might have even lost that series if Paul was in game seven, let's be real now. That team was absolutely lethal, man. In my opinion, with the pure ability to just play the game of 5v5 basketball, Chris Paul is #3 behind Magic and Curry. His greatness just falls a bit short with no rings, and his lacking of an MVP (which to me, is just not his fault... too many conditions that didn't favor him, and in this case overrate those with MVPs when compared to him. CP3 is definitely a superior basketball player to Nash and Westbrook so MVPs in THIS particular scenario is an unfair comparison).

It is a shame he got hurt in 2018 playoffs, that was his best shot. I have him as a top 5 pure pg hands down. I think curry is the better offensive weapon but no one controls the game like cp3, dude is a complete floor general (other than bron). But hey, it looks like the Suns are gonna be right there again this year so maybe he will have a second shot!
