260 inches of bone in the freezer…. You mean meat in the freezer, the bone is on the wall. I love that we can still enjoy hunting the way we want. One guy wants a trophy and another wasn’t a few deer for food. Shoot a spike or shoot a 12 point. How it’s supposed to work.

So that app you use is pretty accurate looks like.I hunt on 40 acres not mine though no place to really to put out a food plot have to rely on acorns which are really been heavy there.thanks for the video

Jake talked about the moon overhead or underfoot being the best moon (positions) Especially when they coincide with post front conditions. I was wondering of which he considers the best (phase)? And is one more important than the other? Wanted to say I love the content and have followed you guys for years. I live in south Mississippi, very skiddish deer here also, even does and yearlings are always alert. I have a 10 acre parcel that I live and hunt on. I have implemented a lot of tactics from you guys over the last 3 years and have watched the buck age structure go from no mature core bucks to a couple 4-5yr olds each year. Keep putting out great content! Our rut down here is just about to kick off. Fingers crossed, Thanks guys.

@@stevenalford3796 I am fortunate that I have a 100 acre neighbor that doesn't hunt. I don't have permission to hunt his place but it acts as a sanctuary basically. I have found that one of the hardest things about my property is the several neighbors dogs just roaming all over and they can mess up buck patterns.
@stevenalford37965 жыл бұрын
Bobby Shields well my grandparents live on the land and they have 2 dogs that roam the land but the deer are used to it and come back and I’m trying to let’s stuff go but I hear my neighbors shooting all the time and scared they are shooting all the deer that I let go
@bobbyshields76825 жыл бұрын
@@stevenalford3796 I know how you feel, it can be frustrating to put in so much time and effort only to benefit someone else. The way I like to think about it is, I'm growing one big buck for every 3 years. So I can shoot a doe here and there, and get one really good buck every 3 years or so. I know that's not enough or ideal for some people. But I have to be realistic about what I can achieve on such small acreage. What irritates me is to see (rich) people who own several hundred acres say that its not enough land to really manage a herd.

Wish I could pick and choose where to go and when. Some of us can only hunt opening day shotgun, in one small area. What advise do you have for us? I get 3 days to hunt during the week and one tree to be in.

No second rut, its one big rut. They will breed all the way into January if there's a receptive doe in heat. November is just the hottest time of the rut. But call it what you want right? Semantics.

I’m kinda doing same thing you guys do on a very very small scale in south west Tennessee north Mississippi,helping friends family make the best out of there hunting property,and I’ve hunted southern Michigan and Wisconsin and during bow season and mid gun season I rarely bumped into hunters,but in southern Tennessee north Mississippi we have 2 hunters to to every 17 acres so much pressure and now fighting CWD in 11 counties and TWRA almost putting a bounty on deer it’s exploded...but I usually do not charge for my help experience but exchange for hunting...
