Bag appeal is nice. But anyone that has grown a lot of seeds definitely know, so of the worst looking plants can have the best taste and scent! Uber addictive. It's always the little runt that looks like shit that is the best banger in the crop.

I believe that people are gravitating towards a denser bud, because that’s what they are used to finding in their bags from “The Guy”. They’re used to rock hard, dried out semi-decent plant material, and even if the THC and affects aren’t there, They still place it on a higher level because of that rock-hard, basically dehydrated nug.

bud density as a feature of quality always makes me laugh. people just dont know any better and if youre (not you personally) the type of smoker to come into cannabis within the last 5, maybe 10 years then youd be on a different page than us "old timers". some of that mexican brick weed was honestly tastier and got me WAY higher than some of these hype strains on the market.

​​@@Catch_u_reloadnI had a similar experience few years back but did 14 clones indoor half salt half fully org and 2 threw outside with nothing in sandy shitty soil and never watered once and it looked not as good but was the best by far 🙄 . still baffles me to this day . both salt and org indoor came out great and tasted close to same but the outdoor was incredible which never happens to me . ripper seeds zom kush was cut at that time

you just need to know where to look. ppl just go by names and hype and trying to get the latest thing instead of tested cultivars or trusted breeders. id rather get a seed from barneys, greenhouse, humbolt, greenhouse etc then some rando selling seeds from genetics they shouldnt have and probably dont just to hang off a name

So many fire breeders and genetics galore, we have more access now than to fire than we ever had in the past. In the past it was a real task to find fire and you might have to grow a fck ton of plants to find something special, now I can just jump online and 6 months later you have legit keepers.

I've grown barneys farm wedding cake a couple of times now and every seed I've popped has very to little smell while growing even through flower but smells like sweet cake when in the jar. Fast finishing, easy grow, good yield and good smoke when properly cured. So anyone looking for stealth grow that's a good one

I want the smell and taste first and foremost. It has to have the terps. I need something that gets me high and lasts an hour or two. Thc content isn’t a major concern. I can always smoke more to get higher.

Depends on the person.. i say pick three indicas they like the smell of, and three sativas. And use one per week, rating each with a number. Then work it down to two favorites for morning and night.. it takes time and experience with each new person.. and i have been paid to do smoke reports for Acreage Holdings before... we had to do pheno reports and fill it out for homework after work. You can make a spreadsheet and track it per person, with a one through ten rating for potency, sleepyness, harshness, etc.

The handling in the Industry side of this plant is what I think makes or breaks the end product, and a lot of times it gets handled way too much prior to reaching the consumer. This is why I think vertical businesses work the best for consumers, more of a "farm to table" product with less manufacturing to reach their customers. I know there's a lot more involved, but the Finish on the product includes everything from the moment the plant is harvested up until the moment you're consuming it. The less time in handling the better.

The Hunt is where we find the diamond in the rough. Small hunts do not always yield the best of the genetics in the gene pool, and sometimes you need to hunt through a cultivar by the hundreds to find the best growing plants. Doing the work is not easy and depending on breeding to be done honestly is a pipe dream for many growers. Hard to say, but for some it is a judgement of everything from the first stem rub to the exhale of cured nugs.

I made bubble hash for first time yesterday. I used 4oz of trim and larp from my outdoor garden. Pressed it thin and let it dry overnight. All together I got 20.5 grams.....is that a good yeild?? Keepem coming guys

Im not sure about your moisture, but you got about an 18% return. Personally I skip all the water works and hand shake it through the 160 bag dry. My most recent run with larf and trim got 15%. I then ran a qp of small buds and got 23% bone dry trichs. I find it smokes alot smoother when it's never been wet.

Dispo: price is really important because I've found that they mostly taste and hit the same. Very seldom have I got some that was head and shoulders over the rest.

I couldn't get over how fast the runtz layer cake from barneys farm finished (8 weeks) and still has plenty of flavor and amazing smell..it definitely made me a fan of the runtz variety. Growing a 2nd runtz right now lol

@@alliejones4518 well I only veg for about 4 weeks..about 6 weeks from seed so I only yielded 3 jars of good quality no larf flower..for 3 1/2 months of total growing time...kinda on the low side but I can't complain I'm sure I could've done better but I was growing 4 plants under a se5000 in the summer so I didint turn the lights all the way up only 70% to prevent too much heat so gotta factor that in as well..if this was the only plant I grew under that same light im sure I wouldve yielded twice as much.

Good quality weed to me is 1 I can smell it a mile away 2 covered in crystals 3 a one hitter will get you to the moon (as high as you would ever want to be ) 4 sticky ( if the bud dont stick to your fingers its not sticky ) that's the weed to buy smoke and grow

When I went to Jamaica I was taken to a village to get cannabis. The dude had a lot of weed just drying in a room, there was a fan and that was it …. I got a qtr pound for 60 bucks…. He handed me whole branches of bud … it was fire weed too … my question is if he didn’t dry it under 60f and 60h how come it tasted great and it got me really high . How does that work if he didn’t dry it under recommended conditions?

Good these days is a successful seed to harvest... Doubleberry og went in the drying tent 3 days ago. Lime Light og has 2 or 3 more weeks of Az sunshine. 269 gallon living soil raised bed. shared w companions, and cover crop= sticky stanky beautiful happy girls that will be good no matter what... They've eliminated good weed in Michigan through legalization some how. There's no good skunk anywhere. I was getting the best weed I've ever had before legalization. The pot stores seem to think high thc is is what we need. It just dont work

A lot of people will do a test wash 1st with like a zip to make sure they are not about to throw a P down the toilet for a 2% yeild. Or if your not, you should.. I don't wash anything under 4% unless it's got some crazy wild terps then I might do a small batch qp/hp wash. Nvr blown a full pound on a 3% tho.

One of the best varieties ive ever smoked was also one of the ugliest. It was even ugly when it grew.a brown droopy afghani thst tated like black pepper and mushrooms/earth. The buzz was ridiculous and it smelled like rot when it burned. Lol so sticky and dense it almost resembled pouch chewing tobacco. It was brown from veg to finish. Reddish brown but a sickly color.

Personally It is not the grow so much. Now if it literally takes 2x to grow then funk that. For me it is the feeling of being a teenage smoker again. I am looking for a good high that can make you giggle and or grin. My favorite now is a hard to find strain called Road Rage, NOT Roid Rage... Growing my 2nd favorite now which is OG Kush (Photo). I love the structure, I hardly have to do any maintenance to it; can't wait to smoke it. Always a good show. What social media do you announce shows? I follow twitch and KZbin, but never see any updates.

My take on this I’m a grower not a consumer and if it doesn’t have the look or the smell for me, I’ll take that flower outside and destroy it and start all over again because it doesn’t me my expectations and how I like my flower I take pride in my grow so I get exactly what you guys are saying, although I’m not a consumer but I love to grow and a lot of times I’ll have someone try my flower that I think is not all that and they love it the flowers that I don’t like my people love it then the ones that I love they don’t like it is much is the flower that I think is not my best it’s crazy

"Bag appeal" is over rated, IMhumbleO. I love me some sexy plants, especially the colors. But color don't get ya high. Personally I think that effects are the most important characteristic, followed closely by taste and smell. As a indoor home grower, how that plant performs for me and my style of growing is of nearly equal importance to me.

For me the head impact is 1st priority the terps are secondary. What does the job the best. Funny thing is that I've experienced is usually the potency and terps go hand in hand. But I know thats not a universal thing. I've also been doing this for a long ass time too.
