True. We are raised to be caretaker & we are okay with it. But the problem is when men started taking us for granted, incline to be abusive sometimes, and getting "lazier", that's when we got angry. That's why many Indonesian women are looking for western partner because we heard from other women that many western men seemed to appreciate what Indonesian men take for granted.

My Indonesian girlfriend told me the other day how she feels I'm helping her a lot emotionally and psychologically and she pondered if she was doing the same to me so asked me if "My needs are being met" in the relationship (implying sexual, emotional and quality-time wise). It left me dumb-folded, first time someone asked me something like that. I feel so lucky

Yeah, Indonesian women are great care takers. They want to make sure that you as their partner are always comfortable.

You and me both brother, I have had exactly the same experience and we are getting married in 3 weeks. 🎉finally found a woman that I can be real with, relaxed with. We have our roles and are both happy in those roles as each is best able to provide for the family.

I love cooking too... You said the truth. Most men in Indonesia behave like a boss. My ex fiance is from the UK. How he honours and treats me, makes me feel secure and trust. And there is equality between us. I never feel he is like a boss who can give me orders as he likes.

I’m Indonesian by the way (also married to indonesian men) but I never cook for my husband simply because I can’t cook 😅 and I tend to don’t want to learn because for me cooking is too complicated, but my husband often cook for me, maybe it’s an exeption for me because I don’t think I'm being raised to be ”caretaker”, and about that ’subordinate’ thing.... that’s really annoying situation in my opinion too, and I’m really glad my husband don’t act like that.... because I hate the bosssy husband.... and I don’t need bossy husband, and what you said is true... it’s about respect.

Thanks for sharing.👍 A pity that you can't cook. You don't know what you are missing.😉 (I am a professional chef myself 😂)

This was an extremely interesting and profound talk you gave here - a very difficult subject to deal with because of all the feminist naysayers who lash out even before you have a chance to give a balanced and subtle explanation. I think the key word you used only later in this video is "respect". As long as both loving partners show mutual respect for each other, no one can judge the ways in which they express that love in the roles they freely choose - domestic or otherwise. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts!

I'm not a chef, but I cook all the time. It's going to be difficult to sit back and let my future wife handle the cooking when I do finally settle down.

Just talk to her. Discuss on the cooking schedule, taking turns. Or if you are the better cook and she agrees, she can look after other chores.

Not only that, many Indonesian men now, because of their wives' obedience, they are starting to be unfaithful to their marriage partners and take advantage of their wives' obedience. that is the reason recently there have been so many divorce cases in Indonesia. they even demand a lot, even though he economic conditions do not allow it
