Alright, I just watched the video again and I have to agree on what many have already commented on: the audio balancing is kinda wack. To my ear, the music sounded fine during editing but now I realize my speech is like, nearly the same volume as the music and that can be distracting. I can't really reupload the video anymore but if you're having trouble with the audio, maybe try listening to the video with headphones? Maybe that would help? Anyway, I'm really sorry about this little mishap, I'll try to pay more attention to it in future.

Platinum is my first ever pokemon game. And i have both alot of love and nostalgia for it. But as a Gen V advocate I personally think in all aspects genV B&W and B&W2 are the peak of pokemon. Again I have nothing but love for platinum ,Giratina is still my favorite legendary.

Cool vid I love Platinum but B/W2 still takes the top spot for me 1/ The gyms All the gym got their own music & the gym leaders are filled with personality Like the Electric gym is just a run way yet I felt star struck when Elesa was shown on screen 2/ the variety of pokemon I do get the point u tried to make in your vid but sir you are not taking full advantage of the improve dex There's so many mons to choose from, i could do monotype challenge runs of anytype and could still change up memebers 3/ the animation Pokemon as well as trainer are full of personality, they feel so lively and unique compare to every other mainline game in the franchise 4/ the post game Oh my word the post game, there's so much to explore I more so enjoy battling and oh boy did i have a good time There's the fight with cythia, the world tournament, the Black City/ White Forrest (They made a whole rouge-like game IN the POSTGAME!! How cool is that!) I could go on but ye i love these game

Damn, it really changed everything, after all, becoming the first of the "big three" is no small task. Also, great vid! your editing is really good. While my fav. is b2/w2, plat and HGSS are also up there in the S rank for me. One thing I didn't really think about is how expanded the gen 4 experience is, since you can easily interconnect that gen's current games with the gen's remakes, which is not as easy or exciting in other generations. That was you have even more teams on each game.

This video is so good and I agree with it on so many levels. Firstly. Love that Chuggaaconroy footage used for the gen 5 sections. Secondly, thank you for not saying HGSS is the best thing that ever happened to humanity and actually seeing it’s glaring flaws. Thirdly, you made some great points about why Platinum is so good, the wide variety of Pokémon combined with the difficulty curve and lack of needing to grind for most of the game are the perfect trifecta that make a Pokémon game good in my opinion and it’s nice to see that someone else can see that as well.

You know what would be cool? If someone did a no commentary longplay of Pokemon Platinum (post game included) with the Pokemon Paul uses. Torterra, Ursaring, Electivire, Weavile, Honchkrow, Ninjask, Gliscor, Magmortar, Hariyama, Nidoking, Aggron, Gastrodon (East Sea), Drapion, Froslass, Gyarados, Garchomp and Metagross. You can even name the player Paul too.

People allways mention "nostalgia vias" as a negative thing, while in reality its a great way to connect with each other stories through gaming. Thats what art does, think about your favorite movies, your favorite songs, favorite books... and you will remember when did you watch them, where you were when you heard that tune, with whom? did someone gift you that book or did you bought it for yourself? what was going in your life at the time? Pokemon blue and gold where the ones I played most. Then I played Emerald lots of years later as an adult, and now another 9 years later im playing Platinum on my cellphone at work. Gen 1 and 2 are the only ones I´ve played multiple times, and gold being my favorite I hear you bringing up its design flaws and im like " f*ck he´s right ". But you know what? Gold (and by extention HG) will allways be my favorite pokemon games because they mean a lot to me.

I do not appreciate the Defog Slander, it is such a great move. It clears Screens, Spikes, Rocks and Mist and Safeguard and lowers Evasion. It may be useless in the field but it’s a fantastic usable move, unlike with Whirlpool. I do wish they would have remade Platinum instead of Diamond and Pearl. Still baffles me why they went with their games over the superior one. And I definitely agree with you on HGSS. It is overhyped and as a fan of Eevee the fact that you cannot get Leafeon or Glaceon without trading is dumb as hell. It gets put on my C tier automatically.

Platinum was the first time I learned about EVs… so after spending way too much time in diamond it’s like the Pokémon world had opened up to my 14-15 year old self. Summer of 2009 was Xbox live and platinum all day haha

Not going to lie about this, I was a heavily over invested Pokémon fan as a kid I have played every single one to date when they launched roughly… You couldn’t pay me to keep playing platnium post Giritina .. I HATED platnium so much, pacing, the clunky battle speed in particular.. endless amounts of sturdy mon… I get if it’s your first or second gen sure maybe .. PLEASE HELP: I have over 60hrs on the game and In order for me to unlock Route 225/ survival area/ route 226 etc i need to complete my Pokédex but the ONLY one I’m missing is Seadra which can ONLY be found on route 226 so there’s no way I can complete the Pokédex??? Bro, the sounds needs work. The content is fine, but you need to find the balance between the music and your voice, because it's really off in places. Tone down the BGM and try to work a bit on make your voice consistently be higher than it, because it was all over the place. You'll get there, if you keep working at it, but this is definitely not it yet

I fully disagree. IMO the games have been going downhill since Red and Blue. They made so much money that they tried to throw way too much into the sequels. And locked way too much gameplay behind live events. With that said, I'm playing Platinum now for the first time, hence why I'm watching your video. Trying to get more familiar with the different pokemon as I play a lot of Pokemon Go. You still get a like, as Red and Blue were my first pokemon games just like Plat was yours. So we are more the same than different.
