I have a question: What are the deciding factors of whether or not a stock will break resistance or bounce off resistance? And same for support; whether or not a stock will crack support or bounce off support?

Its about risk management much more than predicting the future. plan to lose, it makes winning much better.

So in theory, if you cornered the float. Do the potential buyers bids affect the price? In turn allowing you to sell at a higher price?

I’m studying , and taking notes . Trying to learn more so . I just don’t see the importance of putting my money in the bank anymore when I can invest it in my portfolio, watch it move myself .

I am just now getting into Trading and watching the stock market's. I've invested close to $500 now I've invested in NIO and lukoil. And I'm living on my disability but I'm wanting 2 turns money to where I can make some money. My question is how do I know when the stock market is going down and when that going up because sometimes I go up and down up and down up and down they just kind of go sideways

New to trading, great info! My question is, what would be considered a “good” percentage of volume to total float to use towards a prediction of a spike in the near future?

If “market makers” can manipulate a stock price to keep it above $1, are they also manipulating prices at $10, $100, or $1000? Can market makers cause a stock to break support or resistance levels? Do market makers also produce news articles, or other catalysts?
@0dteESmini Жыл бұрын
market makers are making money off of bid ask spreads and selling retail data. big quantities of shares move the market. big positions. whether they are chasing liquidity, stop losses, or creating supply or demand

Why does volume goes up an prices goes down
@0dteESmini Жыл бұрын
volume will go up regardless.... it takes buying and selling to move the price, which are both contributors of volume. The price would stay the same and you have 500 buys and 500 sells. 1000 volume no movement because no imbalance in supply and demand ... fair value

How do you determine how much tax you pay on day trading? I’ve seen ppl trade with 30,000 thousand, buy 10,000 in stock, wait for it to make a couple hundred, then sell it. That has to have massive tax implications. They make that money in literally a day.

I don’t know how it works in America but in the UK only your profit earnings are taxed at 10-20%
@jcubray871811 ай бұрын
Based on my knowledge that I've gathered from my experience so far, you only get taxed when you withdraw your money, so to the best of my knowledge if that money is still invested in the platform it shouldn't be taxed yet. Not 100% that's to the best of my knowledge. You may correct me if I'm wrong
