The look on her face and voice inflection was perfect. Cooper realizing it and the face of the actor was spot on. Love your take but after finishing the show the intro has so many new questions regarding Coopers character like you said how many became ghouls or charchrilled but in the end cooper is hunting down the main characters Dad/Overseer because he knows where his family is but that got me curios. Cooper doesnt say his wife or daughter but "family" so that implies that even though he became a ghoul after the bombs or later on HE was able to get his daughter too a vault or my guess vault 31 but if he knows where they are but no pipboy to get inside? @@iphone_4s681 I think that is the job of a season 1. It reminds me of the Walking Dead season 1. It had you asking so many questions wanting to follow these characters. Although, they could treat each season more of a new series new characters outside of Cooper, but as a long time Fallout fan. I want to know if the NCR is still around. The brotherhood of Steel mentions that they conquered the wastelands. I took it as he is saying for a few years the BoS actually controlled America officially. I am not sure if there are still Supermutants as they are hinted at as more of like something not seen by these characters in sometime if at all. This can make the ending for New Vegas be that Mr.House ending and he bankrupted the NCR making it easy for the BoS to take them down. Yet, we do see a more ordered society for the most part. So after 4 the BoS is the new Federal government? Yet, they talk about the Enclave which is still around and fighting over the position of controlling the US?

Its not the first time his eyes have caught me off-gaurd as an actor either.. in the Tomb Raider (2018) movie he played the main bad guy, and there's a moment where he's where he shoots an overworked worker before pointing the gun at Lara, and I swear to god there's NOTHING behind his eyes... he looks like he has no soul at all in that scene, its terrifying. incredible actor.

If you're talking about your immediate survival, you're wrong. Even within the blast radius, you can survive under cover. You're only truly screwed at ground zero, where a miniature sun appears and vaporizes anything in its vicinity. You won't even have the time to register it happening before you're ash in the wind. @@noahdean9685 That's unlikely. [SPOILERS] According to the final episode, he doesn't know where his wife is, and I imagine they weren't even together anymore once the bombs dropped. The reason I say this is because in the intro scene we see people wondering why the famous Cooper Howard has fallen into doing child birthday party shows, we don't see his wife, and Cooper doesn't want to do the thumbs up, mostly probably because it's also associated with Vault Tec which at that point he was already aware of what they were doing, so I suppose he or his wife left (maybe she found out about the spying device). Also, it's shown in Vault 31 there was where the important people at Vault Tec were sheltered.

I believe the thumb thing was for the davy crockett 1.5(or so) kiloton nuke. The explosion was just for shock, the radiation was the problem. So if you were close enough for the mushroom cloud to be bigger than your thumb, you would be fried. Smaller than your thumb, your fine from the radiation. I hope everyone watches everything about the american nuke tests. It teaches a lot.

And the old 1960s film about it tells the other information and shows what it looks like. I say the davy crockett, cause its the only one that has a small enough mushroom cloud, and the needed radiation to end a person from the sort of distance that a thumb would cover the cloud. Even little boy or fat man would have a cloud much bigger than a thumb at semi safe distances. The nukemaps site helps a lot with seeing what the boom can do..

The show is amazing, period. From the references and easter eggs, to the characters and story. As you said, the intro is pure perfection, with every little detail carefully placed to lead up to the title. I for one can't wait for season 2 and have been playing all three (3, NV and 4) games to not only brush up on lore, but to also get my fix until the next season drops. Fun facts to add here. First, they want to do 10 (or 12, I can't remember exactly) seasons and if not mistaken, they have gotten the go ahead so far. Second, the set designers were so into the detail, that not only did they make COMPLETE paperwork, but were upset because they couldn't make the Vault halls to scale.

@@redemptionjack4657 Right but in just the prologue, it didn’t do as great of a job with details other than run to a vault and see the nuke blow up in a few minutes. This series had just the bomb scene and you saw people in horror knowing that they were going to die and there was nothing they could do about it. Nathan felt a lot more preset than a lot of other Fallout characters. He was married with Nora and their new baby named Shaun. The other characters such as Courier, Vault Dweller, Tribal, and Lone Wanderer are more blank slate than Nathan was when it came to their backstory. Although if you are referring to Nathan after the Vault then yes, he can become a variety of characters after the prologue. It just didn’t seem to go with the usual style of Fallout 1-3 where the character was young and just reached Adulthood.

What does this mean? Well if you know Kyle’s filmography, he was in Twin Peaks as an FBI agent. It was filmed in Snoqualmie, Washington. I used to ski there in Snoqualmie Pass. I was wrong about Seattle, but was it intentional they used Snoqualmie Pass with Kyle being part of the story? For those of you who saw Twin Peaks you know what’s coming. “Damn fine cup of coffee!”

Character’s are more or less reflections of who we are in the spectrum of humanity. The fun comes in watching characters slide along the spectrum as they change. For Cooper, he is similar to Harvey Two face in that he starts one way and becomes another way but his old self is still inside somewhere. Now it is simply finding out how to live in the grey.

The opening scene left me absolutely gobsmacked. That was the best opening scene that I have ever seen for a TV series. Frankly, it was as good as the opening scenes for some iconic movies like Star Wars, Jaws, and Saving Private Ryan. Those were more action based than Fallout which was more about introducing the main character and the world he lived in. Great job on the video. You showed bits of Cooper that I did not remember seeing in the series. Are those scenes of him in the military coming in the next season?

It’s weird that they’re constantly swearing, constantly making sexual jokes ((incest reference first episode, cousin doesn’t want main character to get married because they “fooled around as kids” and he’s still in love with her)), they’ve got an undead ghoul shooting everyone he comes across, and the main Brotherhood of Steel character is a borderline autistic sociopath who willingly lets his brother in arms die so he can steal his suit of power armor; But yet…. They can’t be realistic and show some kids covered in blood after getting blasted by multiple sheets of fractured glass? Weird line to draw. I mean, they show instant racism in the form of White owners of a personal fallout shelter attacking a black neighbor and preventing him from getting to safety. But little white kids getting hurt? Nah, can’t show that.
