@@killmoreturtles I have to email Pat, because after 1st wash, the "screen printing" on my August is Falling logo is flaking from the shirt. Evidently, mine, and possibly none of them were UV cured after printing. Pat is the Legit Integrity guy, and I'm sure it will be resolved, I was just really bummed that it was poor quality out of the gate for $25 before tax. He needs to know it if he doesn't already. With Pat, I am sure he's real enough to help with this. Even on a Saturday night.

Pat, I sent you an email, but I wanted to mention, for your manufacturer...The August is Falling shirt I purchased had to be retired after the first washing, when the design began flaking away pretty dramatically.Better as a collectible than a wearer. I don't know anything technical about music - I just listen to a wide range of stuff. However, when I first heard The Chats after a solid decade or so of hearing Emo / Bubblegum the hairs on the back of my neck stood up because it sounded like something that could have come out of the 77' scene. A refusal to use the 'singing accent' and instead use that Australian snarl; not taking themselves too seriously; simplicity in subject matter and playing and a sense of aggression and contempt. It was perfect. I've kind of moved away from punk as I've gotten older, but it was really nice to see someone make a proper go at it. So big thanks to bands like The Chats and Amyl and the Sniffers. I don't know what's in the water in Australia, but the country has consistently put out some of my favorite bands in the last decade.

dude, Ignition , Smash and Ixnay on the Hombre are good punk albums. Smash and Dookie were my first punk tapes I was like 9. I didn't know how much those tapes would influence me, but songs like Bad Habit, Welcome to Paradise, She, Smash and Basket Case legit turned me into a punk rock kid at 9/10 yrs old and I owe those albums a lot, cuz they shoved me towards that genre and the first time I ever heard Punk in Drublic by NOFX and Full Circle by Pennywise, it hit me in my gut, balls and brain at the same time. and a punk rock soldier ball of fury angst and hormones was born in 1997 when I was in 7th grade. I used to love getting the Fat Wreck catalog in the mail, Gesner Legion, fanzines that I sent $3 in a S. A. S. Hell, Dexter Holland is an accomplished molecular biologist - I find it rather encouraging that someone that sharp wrote several of the unironically stupidest songs I've ever heard. Their greatest strength and weakness is their uncompromising earnestness - like you can't write tunes like Smash, Bad Habit, or All I Want ("back off your rules, back off your jive, man") if you have any sense of how one comes across as sophisticated and cool. The same thing that made him think "let's use Rob Schneider's line from The Waterboy 3 times in one song that features arguably the final Janet Reno reference in all of human history" allowed him to write their good songs.

Dude, I love this. It's so easy to make a video ripping apart some vacuous garbage, but you take the opportunity to have fun with people you casually encounter every day and it's so positive and fun and human. I love seeing drive thru attendants and Hot Topic cashiers being part of this, and a random guy on Instagram getting a chance to play bass with your band is amazing. Nobody else in any media I see just treats people as humans who can be part of something fun and irreverent and silly without being the punchline of a joke, and it makes me feel really good. Any other channel would be so steeped in irony that the pop punk fans on the street would be the butt of the joke, and it's so refreshing to see something different. @@countof3everybodyOD I didn't say anything about "better"; I said "cred." When an outsider comes into the punk scene and start trash-talking the old guard (see: Riot Fest 2021), they torpedo their reputation, thus lowering their cred; WILLOW hasn't done anything like that afaik. Plus, Em has dissed plenty of musicians that are far beneath him. Also, if Will Smith had anything to do with this, the change would've happened sooner; "Whip My Hair" came out in 2010, so the odds of a change being called in by him are slim, frankly. It's much more likely that WILLOW started making what she wants to make (rather than what some early 2010s marketing team promotes). Punk/alternative rock sadly doesn't have as a big a draw nowadays; there's no reason for a marketing team to push her in this direction.

A few hours ago I was looking at my phone saying there's no way I'm gonna spend an hour watching some Tube doofus break down why "try that in a small town" is crap. A couple beers later I did anyway. Now I've seen all of the WMTSS videos and dammit man you are killing it. This is some of the best content I've seen in years. Love the beato refs. And all the other goofy stuff you put in these.

44 minutes of utter brilliance!! The only downside is that now I have to wait months for the next Pat Finnerty fix...

We all thought Pat's Weezer video would be his Pinkerton, and it was but, Pat has never dropped a Make Believe or a Raditude. He continues to drop Everything Will Be Alright in the End and White video after video. Pat You really are the fucking best. I hope you're doing well and I hope success continues to find you man.

Just like punk music, you can't fake good KZbin content. You make good KZbin content. Maybe even the best content. You've raised satire to a new level, and I don't think anyone does it better right now. Thanks!
