I am a 40 year old grown ass man with a wife and kids. Alison has helped ME understand me in relation to women more than anyone. Every time she says something I’m like “heyyy, I do that.” Then she tells me why I do it, and then I’m like “she’s right 🤨” haha… amazing video from an amazing person. Thank you. 🙏🏼

I just saw this video for the first time in my YT travels last night. I didn’t realize I needed these messages-after listening twice through and starting the Understanding Women audio book - I feel a kind of tenderness and admiration and deep awe for the man in my life. I want to honor him and provide safety in our connection and I didn’t realize the mistakes I was making. I want to understand myself better and be better for me and for him. Thank you!

As a irish energy healer I find that my sex the masculine fear at times the feminine within them, thankfully over many years I have be blessed to balance out the two divine aspects of my being, The male in general is working on this transition of the male image,we are lost in the process of change, However in time I feel when we embrace this dynamic change we will rise and heal. I am blessed to have met my divine counterpart five years ago.it was beyond all previous experience, a coming home to my equal. Have not seen her since then a world apart,however I still honour this connection,and honour the inner warrior and feminine within myself, She knocked me off my horse with a white feather !

This is valuable & validating info. Seems important to include some partnerships are navigating added issues like chemical dependency, sexual addictions, neglectful isolating depression, abusive anger/neglect from childhood traumas, or never given communication tools, along with growing up in some community's without healthy modles to fill in for the corruption of broken homes & family's where then guys & gals struggle stuck in the low behaviors more & more accepted in society that offers no accountability, or support to be guided out of those issues, especially when most of these folks are usually held overwhelmed/lost in low income/poverty & unable to afford 100's of dollars to access this knowledge/help. . .
@LoveQuestWithLisaConcepcion3 жыл бұрын
We are all responsible for our own healing. The more we commit to our own healing and self love, the more we improve who we attract. Who we attract tells us where we are and who we are being. People with traumatic childhoods usually are codependent.

Have you learned the skill of validation, to de-escalate and help the other party feel seen, heard? Validation is one of the most powerful, connecting tools, that men can learn to do. Instead of “fixing”, validating holds “space” for the other persons feelings/experience. In that, they feel incredibly loved, as the gift of having another bear witness to the pain/feeling, is hugely relieving and can feel like a safe harbor in the storm...the internal storm that’s coming out!
@warrensmith29023 жыл бұрын
@@Alphacentauri819 I believe you missed the point. When you walk into a situation where your spouse is screaming at the top of her lungs at you, there is no validation possible at that point. Listening to screaming and accusations is not validation, you can only let the storm abate while not taking it personally. Once it abates, then you can start to talk.
@Alphacentauri8193 жыл бұрын
@@warrensmith2902 I didn’t miss the point. It wasn’t communicated clearly in the first comment. Barrage can mean different things to different people. But yes, if you walk in blindly...say from work & all you have greet you is yelling, I get it. I also think that if you state your needs and boundaries, regarding that kind of behavior...you can advocate for yourself and what works best for you. We always are co-creators in our relationships. Many of the men I’ve worked with, will call a few complaints a barrage. Often times too, they missed the key points they could’ve validated earlier, before something turned into yelling. Btw, key to note...anything hysterical is historical. Meaning if someone is elevated, a core wound likely has been hit. If you know your partners attachment style, so much can be attended to differently. As well as your own. Ideally both parties will be healing their core wounds and be sensitive to one another’s. Empowering and transformative. Less yelling, less triggering, more understanding and better connections.

I'MHO when misbehaving is being discussed we need to know what has triggered that behavior. Sometimes we need to internally introspect how did this come across to the other and perhaps it is just an instance of inappropriate communication with inappropriate tone which triggered the wrong response.. The way you treat yourself will be the way others treat you. To even ask this question, means you don’t value yourself enough. Therefore you don’t have the boundary to say “this is absolutely inappropriate, i deserve better”...and instead are unsure, and asking the question here. I imagine you have an insecure attachment style, with core wounds that lead you to have unhealthy internal dialogue...and tolerate behavior from others that support that unhealthy internal dialogue. The more we love and respect ourselves, the more we attract that. The Personal Development School is amazing for healing attachment trauma. Attachment trauma is from childhood...if we don’t heal that, we will keep gravitating towards unhealthy relationships.

@@Alphacentauri819 in my case, we were bestfriends till he found a gf. We never were intimate because I cared about myself more, even if I secretly loves him. I stepped back, even from being bestfriends because I was already hurting. It has been 8 months now. He is dying to contact me but I am not contacting him. I have more self restraint. But my question is, why is he in denial? Is it because society dictates we should not be together? (age wise, money wise)

I like men so much better than women, because I'm more sympatico with the way men think. For me emotion is overrated. I find women put too much value in their feelings which tends to be fickle, neverending, and based on nothing concrete. I don't put much stock in my emotions just feel them. I place no value in my emotions other than as a means to decompress. I don't ask for validation of my feelings from other women or men.
