I know there are many other scriptures like these that could be better explained. But to quote one of my favorite Christian women, “I know that Messiah is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” So even if we don't understand everything now, we know that one day we will know, just as we are known.

(Sorry for the VERY, VERY long "comment". But I believe it NEEDS to be espoused) Kind Sir and Brethren...I have heard MANY people say, "There's NO 'Allegorical s' in the Bible"! And they become very mad; when they think, it had those "Un-Literal" words! Of course, some know it's true! Well, I got news for them that say NO! So, Just listen to Brandon, on this video. What you said kind Sir, hit it on the nail!!! For, I was very interested; to what you told us. Yes, you are 100% correct to me at least. For the're in ALL Bibles all over. Believe it or not! Thus, yours were great to understand; what we are going through; IN...the English Bible; which is translated this way. Like "Hebrew", then to "Greek". Then to "Aramaic", of the Hebrew and Greek! Then... "Latin", that the RCC translated too, of the above. And when there were NO scrolls; they translated the scriptures into "Manuscripts". And then to "English" languages; brought to Britain in the mid-5th to 7th centuries AD. By Anglo-Saxon migrants. But in 1526 AD: William Tyndale’s New Testament; The First New Testament printed in the English Language. Then, 1535 AD: Myles Coverdale’s Bible; The First Complete Bible printed in the English Language (80 Books: O.T. & N.T. & Apocrypha). Thus... There is NO way to say that your KJV; was God's inspired His writers in English. And what Brandon said showed; what can happen to words; in English Translation's language! So, I will give one more of untold "Allegories" in the Bible. In Geneses: where God says, "Do not eat the apple on that tree"! Well that was a "quintessential" Allegory, if there ever is one! For I believe what...God was saying to Adam, "Do NOT touch Eve, UNTIL I tell you to! To test them of God's commandant! Now, most of the whole World; will hate me, for saying that. But I believe it's true. Now, I end this comment now, and rest me case... In any case Brandon and Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Brandon, you made the comment that much more understanding comes when we know the real context of these passages and their timeframe, and meaning. How can we know that when these churches only teach the yranslated scripture that they have? No one, other than you, is telling us the true meanings of these words and why the context of their when is so important. Thank you for what you do. I wish I could find a church that teaches the truth of Christ.

Churches do teach this way, but in the meantime you can also study for yourself. Bible Hub will allow you to look up the words in Hebrew or Greek; you should be able to find a video that demonstrates using Bible Hub - I think How to Faith a Life made my favorite in her verse mapping video. Kay Arthur videos, although older, teach people how to closely read the Bible for themselves.

Instead of leaving the church, why not question the teachings? I’m not saying challenge the authority of the ministers, but it’s OK to question the teachings. If leaders knew that they had a congregation of people who would ask questions, maybe they would do a better job of searching the scriptures before giving a message. Why give the enemy what he wants and that is for you to stop attending church? Who are you discipling and who is discipling you now that you’ve left the church? This is said in love, not judgement.

Why was the King James Bible mistranslated? So many people tell me that the King's translators did it right, but I have always felt that they did as the King told them and left things, and/or changed the way it read. Even slight wrong differences make a profound difference from the truth. So why did they do that?
@kimberlyboldt5213 Жыл бұрын
Yes! Just like in the "four horses" prophecy of the book of Revelation there are four beasts that accompany the rider. These are the same 4 beasts or living creatures of Ezekiel, chapter 1: the lion, the ox, the eagle and the man. This is how we can identify the rider of each horse as Jesus Christ. And, yes, that changes the whole meaning of the popular " 4 Horses of the Apocalypse." Each horse is a trait of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Those beasts coming out of the sea are also the descriptions of the four empires of Daniel's Beast: Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome. Which means that great beast is a conglomerate of all four empires, who've always been enmity to God and his people. The feet mixed with clay and iron, the Holy Roman Empire.

The bigger question about the story of Jonah and the big fish should be as to where was Jonah taken? IMO Johah was taken to sheol which is beneathe the great deep which is below the ocean by this sea creature. Johah was probably shown the horror of hell and after being left their for 3 days was returned to the earth. Christ compares his 3 days and nights in hell to the prophet Johah and Christ also said that he preached to the spirits in prison. These 3 magi or wise men were looking for the star because of Daniel and this the identity of these men that Daniel makes know,. Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: Babylonian Chronicles - The Nebuchadnezzar Chronicle “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” The Babylonian Chronicles were discovered in 1860 in the region of Nineveh. The oldest and most-populous city of the ancient Assyrian empire, Nineveh is situated on the east bank of the Tigris River and now encircled by the modern city of Mosul, Iraq. The Nebuchadnezzar Chronicle records the King’s siege of Jerusalem on March 16th, 597 BC. The chronicle is written on a clay tablet that is now kept in the British Museum. In Daniel 1 we learn that during the siege, slaves were taken that included four of the finest young Hebrew men. Daniel 1 says that they were to be young men without physical defect, handsome in appearance, skilled in all wisdom, quick to learn, prudent in how they used knowledge, and capable of serving in the king’s palace. They were to learn the literature and language of the CHALDEANS. The CHALDEANS were secular, educated people from Southern Babylonia. The scientists of that day. Some were Astrologers. Some were capable of interpreting dreams. Upon experiencing a very troubling dream, King Nebuchadnezzar demanded that these wise men not only interpret his dreams, but that they do so without knowing what the dreams were! Just before the King dispatched them all for their incompetence, the young slave Daniel saved them by giving the king just what he asked for. From that time on, the Chaldeans watched Daniel and had faith in his God Yahweh. Daniel went on to serve on the Chaldean Court of Babylon for 70 years. He was a prophet of Yahweh and revealed prophetic secrets to the court that were passed on for future generations of Chaldeans. Fast forward 600 years. Since the time of Daniel, generations of Chaldeans had studied the Hebrew Scriptures and the prophesies of Daniel. They had passed this knowledge on… generation after generation. And combined with their knowledge of the Scriptures, they were able to use the star to find Yeshua Jesus. They gave precious gifts that later would sustain the Holy family as they fled from Herod to Egypt. And they threw the evil King Herod off of their trail! Yahweh God used the Chaldeans of Babylon in a mighty way. He used a young Daniel and his friends as a powerful witness. And the stone record of the Babylonian Chronicles is an important example of how the science of Archaeology authenticates the Bible.

Bible translators from some 400 years ago were very limited in their accuracy, such as the King James Bible of 1611, or the Catholic Douay Version of 1582, in translating from the ancient Hebrew and Koine Greek, having only relatively "late" manuscripts from the 12th century onward to work with and had only a more basic understanding of both languages, though there was the Complutensian Polyglott of 1514-17 in Greek and Latin, whereby even the noted Dutch scholar Desiderius Erasmus made many mistakes with his editions of a Greek master text, the first being published in 1516, with four more editions from 1519 through 1535. However today, "there are available for comparative study more than 13,000 papyrus and vellum manuscripts containing the whole or a part of the Christian Greek Scriptures (commonly but inaccurately referred to as "the New Testament"), dating from the 2nd to the 16th century." "Of these, some 5,000 are in Greek, and the remainder in various other languages. More than 2,000 of the ancient copies contain the Gospels, and more than 700, the letters of Paul. While the original writings themselves are not currently extant, copies date back to the second century, which is very close to the time the originals were written." "This vast number of manuscripts has enabled Greek scholars in the course of years to produce a highly refined Greek text of the Scriptures, confirming in many respects the dependability and integrity of our present-day translations of the Christian Greek Scripture."(Insight on the Scriptures, Vol 1, pg 443) To grasp what the Bible teaches of "the truth" (John 8:31, 32, 44; 2 Tim 4:4), a person first must have an ACCURATE Bible, and be one of God's people (Isa 2:2-4), that causes them to have access to his holy spirit, for Amos 3:7 states: "For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV) will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets."(New World Translation) Jesus told HIS disciples: "If you love me, you will observe my commandments. And I will ask the Father (Jehovah God) and he will give you another helper to be with you forever, the spirit of the truth (or holy spirit, Jehovah's active, life force that empowers his servants to do things beyond their own power, see Judges 16:3; 1 Kings 18:46; that allows a sincere person to separate "fact from fiction"), which the world cannot receive, because it neither sees it nor knows it. You know it, because it remains with you and is in you."(John 14:15-17) So, only loyal servants of Jehovah God can do as Jesus said in using the Greek word syniemi, six times at Matthew 13 (verses 13-15, 19, 23, 51), that literally means "to mentally put the pieces together", in which Jesus told his genuine disciples: "To you it is granted to understand ("understand", Greek ginosko, meaning "to know") the sacred secrets of the Kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not granted. For whoever has (accurate knowledge of the Bible), more (accurate knowledge) will be given him, and he will be made to abound;" "but whoever does not have, even what he has (or "imagines he has", Luke 8:18, in which Luke used the Greek word dokei, that means "an assumption, an opinion", that is rendered as "imagines" and used 62 times in the Bible) will be taken from him." "That is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations; for looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain (unwilling to "put in the hard work" of serious and humble research, allowing religious bias to "color" their view, and NOT "searching for Jehovah", see Isa 55:6), nor do they get the sense of it ("get the sense of it", Greek syniemi)."(Matt 13:11-13)

This clearly is another example of how modern cultural Christian bias 'oppresses' the truth of scripture. One would think, after the Reformation, Christians around the world would seek to properly understand the Bible, its context and the correct meaning of passages like the ones you used. I wonder why people, despite having the knowledge, still continue to use their 'traditional' (and wrong) take on these texts. I'd love to know your take on why these errors of translation have not been dealt with yet...

@GEES44DC Жыл бұрын

@LyleCooper Жыл бұрын
You could have pointed out that Jonah DIED and his spirit and soul went down beneath the mountains into Hades. He was there for three days and three nights as the fish swam around with his body. After the three days and three nights, God told the fish to spit out the body, and God brought Jonah back to His body. So when Jesus said that the only sign He would give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah. The point is, they both died, and both were resurrected; Jonah back to his natural body but Jesus into a resurrection body. Don't take my word for it, go and read what Jonah wrote.
@theeternalsbeliever1779 Жыл бұрын
You are not reading Jonah's words in the way they are meant to be understood. Jonah said he cried in the belly of Sheol, but it doesn't contradict what the scriptures about how the dead have no awareness. It is in the fish's belly that Jonah realized how spiritually dead he had become by forsaking his commission. It is a prayer of repentance Jonah is giving here.
@LyleCooper Жыл бұрын
Without a doubt Jonah cried out repentance while he still had breath, inside the fish, but that would have lasted only seconds or perhaps a minute, until he lost consciousness. But soon his heart would have stopped, and His spirit and soul would have left his body and went down. And John shows us that is what happened. He did not miss a word from being inside his body to outside his body. He kept right on crying out to God. " I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever:" He went where all spirits of the righteous went at that time, to Hades and to Abraham's Bosom. He went down under the mountains. This is real simple, if Jonah never died, then Jesus never died. The truth of scripture is that both Jonah and Jesus died, and both went down into Hades to paradise.
@LyleCooper Жыл бұрын
Hmmm. Jesus' story of the rich man and Lazarus tells us a different story that agrees very much with a literal reading of Jonah.
@marksingleton7199 Жыл бұрын
Much better. Jonah is swalled by mankinds indifferent selfishness. God is saying that if you desire yoursel then you can experience yourself in the depths where God's light is less and see how you get on. So everything is based on the tree of knowledge. In Exodus and leviticus, God is teaching everyone to give up their thought and accept God's thought work through them as a collective. The sea is awareness of thought and is our memory. We hold onto it and work it to our benifit. God says that you have a choice. 1. Allow me to create a world for you to live in but you must always remember that it is my creation and you are part of my creation. 2. You live in your own thought and take inspiration from God's good thought and then use it selfishly. The first is good thought and the second is evil. Our memory is clouded by theses false ideas. We were designed to reflect God's thought at all the possible dimensional levels of awareness in a joyful way. The problem was that to see God and be truthful about what was experienced, God needed a seperated conscousness that was directly connected to God. At night we could dwell on what we saw in an open way. Like asking a true friend what she or he sees in you. The mind learnt that it could think for itself and why just accept someone elses thought. The problem is that we are thought of God on a low level of awareness and Fod asks what we think about something and we struggle to answer the question and then God gives the answer. It's like a chess game with God. God makes you aware of all the ways the peices move and then makes a move. You have to imagine all the possible ways to make a move and the consequences of the move. That is the bit God wants. You cannot decide so God prompts you. If you go with your own move based on own knowledge you end up in dificulties quickly. The game needs to be a long one so that the mind can learn from what it sees and develope. When you make a bad move, God has to manipulate the game to get you to work with him. Now you have to imagine billions of games going on at the same time. It is the same chess game happening multidimensionally at all stages of awareness. God can work with this but we cannot understand this complexity. God had everything ordered into levels so that the mind could learn and assimulate the information. Man seperated into billions of seperated thoughts. God desires man to re order his thought through God. Man learnt that if God created paradise he could live without thinking about God. God said that if you think of me I will think in you. If you think of yourself you think of you only.

⚠️ Warning to all who read this and continue to say Jesus is God (John 17:1-3): These are Jesus’ words “as he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son ALSO may glorify YOU” (John 17:1); Jesus has been “GIVEN the power over all flesh” from the Father and is tasked to “give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him” (17:2); thinking to his Father, Jesus said “and this is life eternal, that they might know YOU, the only true God, AND Jesus Christ, whom THOU HAST SENT” (17:3). Anyone who goes against this are against God and will face the consequences (Revelation 22:18-19).

So, if I don’t read the Bible like you, I might get the wrong message and end up in hell? God IS the author of confusion.

There is no way to know completely what the intention of the writer of Revelation was. You're just guessing like everyone else.
@theeternalsbeliever1779 Жыл бұрын
John was told to write everything he saw and heard because as Rev. 1:1,10-11 clearl show, the entire book is a prophesy about the days leading up to, including, and beyond Christ's return. A person can completely know John's intention because Daniel unlocks Revelation, and Daniel was also written for the last days. But as the angel essentially told Daniel, the wicked will not understand anything in these 2 books.

@theeternalsbeliever1779 Horseshit. It's a river of utter nonsense. Written by a madman who was exiled to an island. The Book of Daniel is a joke. I question the book’s validity on two key points: first, that it is historically inaccurate; and second, that its prophecies were written after the event. In other words, the book is nothing more than a poor record of history made to appear as prophecy. Many scholars believe the beast in Revelation was Nero. Furthermore, Jesus told his disciples he return in their lifetime. Jesus wasn't divine. The Romans did not allow corpses to be removed from the cross. You loons have been saying he would return for 2000 years. It ain't gonna happen.

This guy speaks a lot out of what he thinks, and relies almost entirely on Greek and Hebrew texts, never the Holy Spirit. He explains scriptures, but has zero knowledge of the word of God, because he never speaks from revelation from the Holy Spirit. These kinds of people will tell you anything in the scriptures, but nothing in the word of God. Their words only sound superficially correct, but has no depth or power to bring about any transformation to the soul.
@jakestores Жыл бұрын
What in the world are you talking about? He's going back to the actual words inspired by the Holy Spirit, in the original languages they were written in, to clear up less than perfect translations of those words. English translations are not inerrant, the originals are.
@majormayco Жыл бұрын
@@jakestores That's rubbish. Has the Holy Spirit at any point referred you to Greek or Hebrew texts? Has God at any one time spoken to you in Greek or Hebrew? This issue of "original text" is deception from the devil, to make the gullible think the scriptures as we have them today are inaccurate. The guy speaks a lot, but seriously lacks revelation. He's talking scriptures, NOT the word of God - which is living and powerful.

@@jakestoresit's so sad how many Christians get offended when people put scripture into its original context and not the modern-world context their church is teaching them.

Sorry, God. I love the truth, but I hate riddles. If God wants people to understand things, He shouldn't have been so cryptic. As it is, it looks to me like God is just playing both sides against the middle. Personally, I'm almost convinced that Satan is an employee rather than a rebel.
@jakestores Жыл бұрын
The problem is you assume it was written for you, or us, now. It wasn't, it was written for believers at that time. It's much easier to figure out if you try to understand what it would have meant to them. Brandon has plenty of decent content from that perspective.
@GEES44DC Жыл бұрын
It wasn't cryptic to the first people who read these passages. They knew exactly what they meant. We have lost the meaning over time. That's not God's fault.
