A friend sent me this video, and internet wisdoms and people's experience of marriage has been so traumatizing - I braced myself ahead of clicking (I'm a first time visitor to your channel). Only to enjoy myself, be blown away by the eloquent insights and humour. Go Apondi 💜

That discussion about not losing your identity is soooo powerful. This is what Mothers and Aunties should tell brides instead of the toxic.....get rid of your single friends, don't have hobbies etc as it is selfish as your life is meant to revolve around your husband's needs and those of your children and in laws.

Thanks for enabling the comment section. Your mum is a viiiiiiiiiiiibe. She has a way of delivering sense and shattering some of these “truths”. Seriously we want a series. And good job to you Kitt on your consistency. Please do a series on delivering consistency (task prioritisation, management of others etc)

I went to visit my sister n she kept asking me, tupike nini,for breakfast, lunch n dinner. The first day I took it because I thought it's excitement for seeing me around, the following day she asked the same question n I told her, don't cook today especially for me I will eat out till I go back home.... Because that question gets in my last nerve. If I visit u.... Do u.... Cook what u have without pressure n put it on the table. I hate people who use my brain to rest....... Enkamano.

@apondinyangaya66102 жыл бұрын
Keep reminding them your name. One day even the little children will speak your name; Wangari Maathai, Graca Marchel Mandela, Michelle Obama, Indira Gandhi, Charity Ngilu, Ellen G. White, Esther in the bible... Keep your name significant and powerful. Many of our Luo clans are named after women. Your name matters
