I love my homemade sourdough bread and bagels too! For my veggie sandwiches and homemade bean burgers! I know what’s in it if I make it myself. I stopped making the bread but I felt better about having it after hearing a couple plant based drs say something and if you go to the stores make sure you check ingredients.

How does unbleached and unbromated flour mean that the fiber is intact? My understanding is that white flour can be unbleached and unbromated. If you want fiber you need to look for whole wheat (or other while grains. While the bread may be natural, it will likely spike blood sugar for many people.

Whole Foods - lots of veg and fruit- I’ve become vegan at 55 and weight is managable- I avoid all the vegan processed junk food too, and tried to eat as close to nature with all meals.

The soup mixture is fabulous! So much you can do with a simple box of McDougal or Engine 2 soups. Great lunch!!!

@@HealthyEmmie i was vegetarian until i was 33, two years vegan then i experimented with whole foods, keto and lastly carnivore but i am back to the beginning… peri menopause has been challenging for me and i hope to lose extra belly fat and gain my energy back. you are an inspiration, thank you 🙏

Love this, so awesome to see that your Mom not only tried a new lifestyle, but has completely embraced it ! All of the plastic packaging though, is a problem. What's the point of being healthy if we're destroying the planet doing it? The bread, rice, even veggies you showed were all plastic (aka petroleum) bags :(

I don’t really have a favorite meal. I’m actually just starting the plant based life…2 weeks. It’s a real struggle. 😑 I’m looking for a breakfast idea. So far I’ve just been eating frozen mixed vegetables since I don’t eat Oatmeal. Can you suggest some other options? Thank you. 😀

Hash browns!! You can get shredded potatoes in the frozen section at Walmart.

I do pre-cooked smashed potatoes in the airfryer with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika powder. I pour over some of Plantiful Kiki's cheese sauce. My veggies are usually broccoli florets or a Costco veggie blend from the freezer section. I cook those with a little bit of A minoes (sub for soy sauce) and a swirl of date sauce. Very filling and yummy. I will also do homemade burrito wraps with refried beans, veggies, sour cream from Starch Solution book, and salsa on top or inside depending on the day. Another is use a precooked potato and chop into little bits. Saute in pan with your veggies of choice and seasonings of choice. I put ketchup or salsa on those and feel very sated when done.

However, I just tuned into your channel for the first time on yesterday, and was very surprised by what I heard regarding starch. 😮. I’m going to purchase the book and start my weight loss journey. @@lavondadebrito1178 Hey girl! 👋 I think it's crazy how I look at food now. I can eat any food at any meal! I'm a huge prepper now of the starches which makes it sooooo easy to complete a meal. My neighbor just dropped off some greens from her garden. You'd think I was looking at gold! I cooked then up, tossed some rice and a half of left over potato 🥔 in and omg they were so good. So fresh and no pesticides. From my kutchen to yours love, have a wonderful and safe 4th. (((Hugs)))

No shade here, everything I read about weight seems to focus on protein. Do you count protein in these meals, i'm curious if it is the same as the recommended grams per body weight. I know veggies and starches have protein but is it enough and complete amino acid profile? You mom looks great so I assume she is getting enough. I've tracked my own protein trying a starch based diet and it never reaches the goal on my fitbit.

Some recipes are, some are not. You can substitute the non-gluten-free ones with gluten free pasta and gluten free flour :)
