This might sound crazy, in someway he's playing better now then he did back then. He's just decided to be as flashy about the way he does, and he's doing it coming off the bench. He doesn't need starter minutes to give you starter production.

But now his floaters and step back jumper have improved so much Like you said tho he preserves his body and can’t go for 35 minutes every night. 6th man of the year candidate tho and per 36 minutes his stats are all star numbers still 💪🏼

Well of course it’s later in his career. His jumper is more developed. He changed his play style from uncontrollable dunker to a Well developed shooter. He’s always had a great basketball IQ. True fans of D 🌹 have been PATIENTLY waiting to see this form and absolute killer mentality return. I will clarify- I am NOT a knicks fan, but I’m rooting for D🌹. This man was so influential to the young kids in IL. You didn’t see the park courts as filled up as they were during this mans time in IL. That’s facts.

he played some decent minutes a few years ago in the playoffs for the knicks and his numbers if he was playing 35 min would have been like 25 plus. He could still be a top 7 pg if he was given the minutes but i think most still worry about that leg
