You pull out a 425 transmission and all you want to do is reseal it up? You BETTER replace the chain in it. The reason for the carbon build up under the intake gasket is lack of oil changes. Don't use 50 ft. of fuel line, use as much steel line as possible and use short sections of rubber to transition to steel. You can thank me later.

It might pay to look at the engine compression readings on an old engine just to be sure it's in the normal range . If you're getting a lot of blow by then those new gaskets and seals won't last long . I'm sure you know that but a DIY person might not.

@@jameshenneberg1937 But you need a transmission strong enough to take the torque of a diesel, and the transmission on that is unique that it is a longitudinal front wheel drive (and I doubt that Allison will be making a front drive version of the MT-650).
