American here! married a Philippine woman she is highly educated speaks English fluently is a teacher by trade. Also speaks three different languages. We have been trying to get a tourist visa now for two years from the Philippines to the US, we own property in both countries, she has all proper paperwork drivers lic, birth certificate, Philippine passport we have a legal marriage certificate ect. We have spent thousands of dollars through this process for a 5 minute interview by US customs just to be turned away each time, now my daughter her legal stepdaughter is getting married in June and we have another interview trying just attend our daughters wedding. I once again feel the NO coming from US customs. If they can stop an Americans legal wife from entering the US why can’t they just say no at the southern border?

the same thing happened to me trying to get a k1 visa for my fiancé it took 8 months to get. my wife to get her citizenship costs many trips 3 hrs to over 5 hrs one way and about 10 k and 11 years to finally get it with illegals crossing the border by the thousands every day.
