Dexter is in all of our hearts, I lost of my dog of 14 years about 5 years ago. It still hurts but the memories are the most important thing. Thank you for being amazing and superstars. You have helped me massively with my mental health. Paul & Anthony keep being amazing.

You'll know when you both are ready to give a home to another fur baby, at the minute you are grieving for Dexter not a dog. 19 miles is a mega cruise, but it was helped with lovely scenery and views and a nice day. So much duckweed, you would have been very lucky not to get problems. Paul, saying you dont want to give up the channel, gosh my heart missed a beat, you are part of my life and I expect for a lot more, we'd have something to say about it lol Happy days to you, xxx

Absolutely Susan. We miss him so much. Whilst the boat feels empty, it definitely isn’t the right time yet. It really was a mega cruise. We usually travel a few hours before mooring. The duckweed was horrific. Glad it wasn’t a serious problem. We definitely aren’t giving up the channel. We love sharing our journey. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ❤️

Another great video guys, your content is great for people like me who want to see what's out there in different parts of the country. Me and my family have just finished the Droitwich ring after starting from Stourport Basin and having a lovely cruise down the river Severn to spend the day at Worcester city. The Cathedral was truly stunning and it's a very clean city overall. I would highly recommend it for anyone watching who hasn't been there. I'm now looking into joining a syndicate so that me and my family can enjoy more weeks a year aboard a canal boat at a lesser cost. #canallifeisthebest Thanks again for all your amazing videos, my morning routine has become a nice cup of coffee and a cheeky video of yours.

Happy Saturday! 🥰 Nineteen miles is a long way at that speed and that is also lot of hours on the move. Long but it was a pretty day and the scenery was great. I loved all of those lovely cows. 😊 Llangollen for winter sounds like a good deal. I would really love to go there. Winter plans seem premature but really it won't be that long. It's hard to believe because here it's 90 degrees at 7PM. Bilbao looks like a great place for a few days off. I'm sure it was great and was needed. ❤ Take care and have a great weekend. ❤

It does seem premature but we have to plan around closures. It does feel like autumn is nipping at the heals of summer. Blimey, still hot where you are. Bilbao was amazing. Just what we needed. Hi guys Lovely vlog with beautiful scenery, so nice to travel with friends, Saul is always upto something when filming.😅 If i could offer some advice about getting a new furry baby, it would be don't wait too long. We lost our beautiful cat Tess 5 years ago and decided as we were going to retire we would love a dog. We have now been retired for 3yrs, done alot of research about the right dog for us , what with young grandchildren, but as time has gone on we now worry we are used to just us and the freedom we have. This has made things difficult with over thinking and also has saddened me as when i see any dog there just give me so much joy. Thats why i loved seeing you dear Dexter each week. So hopefully you will be better then us, and will know when the time is right. Have a great holiday, relaxing and enjoying the sun. Take care. XX ❤

What absolutely gorgeous countryside, and I so appreciate you bringing me 12:46 along for the ride. I live in the very centre of the Canadian prairies and love seeing so much British scenery. Plus the slow pace on the boat makes it all so much better. I can expect snow & cold as early as October, and will snuggle in living vicariously through the two of you. You need time after losing a pet before getting another , especially if you only have one pet , I lost my cat a few years ago at 18yrs old , and I was heart broken , but I was given a kitten rescue too soon afterwards , the kitten has grown into a very happy large 9kg cat lol which I absolutely adore , but at first I felt the loss of my last cat over anything I felt for the kitten , the kitten did win me over though but I should have waited longer to grieve although the kitten needed a home , you know when the time is right and I knew it wasn’t for me , I never knew the Leeds Liverpool canal was so close to Clitheroe ! I may have a canal walk over that stretch before winter

Absolutely Chris. I totally understand that. We don’t want to get another pup to not be able to give it all the love we have to offer due to grieving. You definitely should have a canal walk. It is beautiful along that stretch. Have a great weekend ❤️

Love the vlogs. With your raw water intake, it might be best to change the elbow to a straight through joint and re-route the raw water intake pipe a bit. We have been working on sail boats for over 20 years now and if there's a block it's normally weed stuck in the elbow. Easy job when you haul out. Good luck, David and Dawn

I think you are doing the right thing and think Anthony is spot on. Its so hard having that hole in your life and the instinct is to try and fill it straight away, but just give yourselves time. I am sure end Jan/beg Feb there will be plenty of dogs in rescue centres from idiots that despite knowing that dogs aren't just for Christmas go and buy one then realise it is the wrong dog or not realise what's involved, so there will be someone special for you waiting to have an amazing home with you both. Hi Kerry. Circumstances dictate we can’t have a dog before then too. I wish we could rescue a dog but there are several reasons why this wouldn’t be a fit for us, which is why we set up a page to help rescue dogs. We can’t imagine being on a boat without a dog though. It does feel very empty. Hope you guys are keeping well ❤️

Wonderful scenery and photography on the L&L canal which I so wrongly assumed was mainly industrial. There’s always something to learn from all these canal vlogs.
