Right behind you with the solar update: managed to snag a batch of 50 older panels from a solar farm that was upgrading. They're only 220W each, but we have plenty of roof-space for them now and they were super-cheap. Love the piggies ♥🐖🐖🐖🐖

i saw a video on youtube, in japan or china they were having same problem trying to find wasps nest, they would catch one put a long piece of fishing line and a bright ribbon on it and be able to see it with binoculars fly back to the nest. might help, you should be able to find it on youtube. cheers guys

So Great to see Crumbs in the sun. Trixie, I love your kitty too and had missed seeing him. Badger has So MUCH Know-How running around in that brain of his!! I can breathe easier now that you have that wonderful safety scaffolding. Have to take care of the childrens daddy and kaylas hubby!! The shot of the bee going in and out of the glads getting his "bee buffet" showed where the expression "Busy Bee" comes from. Plus it was beautiful shots. Please Kayla.do have the vet for a nice long meal and record all his stories for us to hear too. Please. And last Badger Please all of you do go play at the swimming hole and record the splish splash fun as at least I can pretend to be in there too. All my life I wanted a fun swimming spot like that, ESPECIALLY when my children were young. 😢😢😢😢 At least I can enjoy it thru you guys now.

Badger are you aware that when it's really hot, panel efficiency plummets? I have 1590W generating capacity, but that can crash to 400W max when temps are in the high 30s/low 40s. If you can cool the panels by some means, your generating efficiency will massively improve.

Hi guys! I've been having to same issues with the "asiáticas". Sadly, can tell you from my own experience, mint (hortelã) doesn't help até all. Last year had a bunch undernearh a peachtree and the banana plants, and it didn't make any Diference. The wasps were all over, anyway. On the other hand, managed to find 2 nests by following them at Sunset. Hope it works out for you .

I know you did a short review video…Call it Portugal renovation and Timelapse. Explain where and why you chose Portugal and show us how you are living in the meantime and take us on a tour of the land-kind of explaining along the way what the plans are. I hear you have a stream, show us how far away that is and what it’s like -how deep, etc. maybe show us making a meal and go over again, what the layout of the house will be. You are smart to updrade your solar panels on the ground. There is nothing that says that you have to have your solar panels on the roof if you have the land! Two if my sisters have enough space to have their solar panels on the ground. One lives in Colorado where it snows and since they live completely off of the grid, the panels need to be cleaned off after a snowfall. They also have little wind turbines to generate electricity, to suplement the solar panels. Happy to see construction begin again on your stone house, always mindful of safety! Love your scaffording system! You guys work so well together as a team! That is horrid about the Asian hornets! I didnt realize that they were such a threat to the bees! Hope that you find the nest! It seems that the government would have a national program to eradicate this invasive species! If you can see the nests in the winter, couldnt they destroy the nest when they see them? They are a threat to crops. Lol...Greek pigs! The young tender leaves of the grape vines are good to eat!

I recently watched a documentary on the farming of asian Hornets (apparently they are a delicacy in some parts of the world) and to discover the nest the locals capture several hornets and tie horse hair to their abdomens and attach a small white feather to the other end - that way they follow them through the forest and if they are lucky they find the nest . worth a try ?
