Roof is looking great! The cooper gully is set off beautifully against the terracotta tiles. It makes entertaining viewing with you all chasing the piggies but as you said it just can’t go on. I’m afraid I have no experience to be able to pass on in dealing with piggies! Hope you have a great week and you manage to pig proof the enclosure.❤

You surprised me being on Saturday instead of Sunday. Y’all are my first one on Sunday. Boy it’s turning into the runaway pig. He is like the pig that can’t be penned. You electric wire shocks people but not pigs. You have a book here for sure! The roof is looking good. Hope you can get it all dried in for the winter. Blessings and hugs ❤️🙏🏻❤️

The roof looks like it’s coming along nicely.Congrats on that! Yeah, that sounds stressful trying to keep the pigs wrangled, especially Scrumpy. I don’t remember. Has he been fixed? I’ve often wondered how you were gonna manage them when they’re grown. It looked as if they get fairly large. Maybe you’ll gets some good tips here. 😉

I’m sorry your pigs are causing you such trouble. I wonder if they might be trying to get a bigger role on your videos. Perhaps you could offer them their own segment?! Maybe one of the kids could do a voice over imaging what they saying/thinking something like “Piggy words of wisdom” or “Grunt and squeal this pig’s for real”. Worth a try 😅

I would advise to create several smaller sections with gates, then you can apply the rotational grazing method, and put them inside another section before they completely destroy the entire field. Then the electric fence will work better and that way the section that has been grazed can recover much faster and provide enough fodder for the next round of grazing. And it is also recommended to sow a mix of seeds in the old pig pen from whatever it is that they like to eat, or any other area after it has been grazed. Otherwise it will be hard to keep up with their appetite. You can google what the best mix of seeds would be. There are plenty examples. Clover, alfalfa, wheat, amaranth, rye, sugar beets, sunflowers, are just a few examples. There are many more plant species that are good for pigs.
