I can mostly agree. I have found I get more attention from Venezuelans and Brazilians in Argentina. Most of the time, Argentinas were impressed by the US status, but it was a platonic interest. But the ones who were interested could borderline cold approach me or would leave me with no doubt.

Im from Buenos Aires and I dont feel related. I think you have a very disrupted USA vision. The difference is in Argentina there is for sure classism. But we dont judge people for their color. In fact we call "negrito" to the people we love and thats okay not a negative thing. I have many friends with different colours from different places and backgrounds. Culturally speaking we are very different from what you learned in the US where everything is a color label. I lived in Europe and USA and I can tell you Argentina its not a racist country generally speaking. We don’t care about race, we care about people.

@@JayFocused I do respect your perspective, never said I didn’t… I said I’m not feeling related and gave my perspective as well. There’s a lot of judgment about Buenos Aires people. Yes for sure there might be some pricks around but I believe there is more people open to know each other no matter the background then the ones there are that they do care about this class and color thing in Buenos Aires and Argentina. Everyone who wants to come here to help make the country a better place is always welcome. See, I believe here people is more connected with the simple things in life. Maybe because we suffered crisis and crisis and crisis that we value the things that really care. I believe Argentina has a lot of things to improve. Im not sure if racism might be one of them at that level now. But again just my humble opinion and if you feel different let’s open the talk and awareness You can post all you want and you are always welcome here. @@spittfyre365 yeah I never said he might had feel it. And if he did I really sorry for him. But coming very influence for the USA society where every moment of your life you might be waiting for a racist behavior, you then just arrive to a different place expecting the same things very sensitive about it, and that’s it’s totally understandable, but you can’t speak for all Argentina saying is a racist place if you have stayed there for a short period of time. Argentina is a different place, different country, different culture, different story. If you claim Argentina society as a hole is racist I feel totally free to speak my point of view. You want to bring your fight everywhere and speak to the the 4 winds about it go for it. Don’t expect everyone Agree with your opinion. Even when I’m against racism in every way.

Argentina is safer and has a better infrastructure than 90% of latin america. Far less corruption, less violence, good affordable medical care and it's very easy to stay there long term. No one getting drugged and no major drug cartels. The flipside is that the women aren't dying to go to America and aren't impressed by someone black, white or otherwise, simply because they come from a first world country. No place is perfect, It's not for everyone but many people love it.

I don't think it's so cut and dry. In my experience the whiter Argentinas may be slightly more interested in black guys for shallow relationships and the darker Argentinas more interested in aomething more serious. But of course these are generalizations. The city they come from in Argentina will affect things, their English/education level and also their social status are more important indicators than their skin color.

I strongly believe the US is far way more racist and even farther more xenophobic than Argentina. The US not only discriminates racially against black people, but that syndrom has prevailed in the US society so that black Americans have a big hatred towards other black immigrants. I don't think Argentina is this worse. Racism is everywhere in the world, but I don't think it is a general thing as per se. It is rather a family or personal thing. Another point is, people will generally judge you based on who you are. For instance, someone is black but not educated, so basically the social judgment of such a person will rank low of course. A religion factor too. I have heard that there is many West Africans who in the last 15 years or so moved there. Generally, West Africans are Muslims as opposed to the Argentinean society that's very catholicism centric. So, it is likely that many aspects can come into play for an argentinean girl to date a black dude or not.
@JayFocused
@JayFocused 4 ай бұрын
I understand you. But as far as the religious aspect, I don't think it's a major factor when it comes to dating Argentinas, especiallyin the early stages. I have plenty of Black male friends in Argentina who are Haitian, British, American, Colombian, etc. None of these guys are of a Muslim background. This video wasn't directed towards the experiences of the African immigrsnt community. With them, yes, the cultural bridge is even wider and Islam is a factor.
@JayFocused
@JayFocused 4 ай бұрын
Do you live in Argentina?
@itwillhappen8150
@itwillhappen8150 4 ай бұрын
@JayFocused I talked the West African community there simply because I watched KZbins of them in Argentina, and I know, mostly, they are Muslim. Moreover, your video is about the attitude of locals towards people of color, and West Africans are people of color as well. So I think you misunderstood my point because what I was trying to point out is the fact that religion can also play a role in whether people couple up or not, especially when it comes to two people of different racial backgrounds... Look at it this way: say a British or American blackman who is also Muslim, would probably have a harder time to successfully date an argentinean girl. Correct me if I am wrong as I have never been there. I am just assuming On your second question: nope, ain't in Argentina but it is my dream I go there in a couple months and stay for a year, God willing.... All in all, much appreciation for your informative video!
