It's actually been 5 volumes with Silver Eyes too. We first heard of it since the very first goddamn episode. It's pissing me off too. They took way too long to reveal Jaune's semblance, making it utterly a disappointment with all the hype surrounding it. No doubt they're going to do that with Silver Eyes too. Heck, I wouldn't even be surprised if the reality is that even THEY don't know what Silver Eyes are yet. They just wrote a random McGuffin and thought "we'll just figure this shit out later. The viewers will just think we're being mysterious."

Maybe I'm reading to much into it but there is a lot of pressure building on Ruby. People don't mean to but they keep butting burdens on her. First Jaune in v4 mentioned how she gives them the strength to keep going (I love you dude but that was Phyra all over again, please realize it before it's too late) then, Yang in V5 says that if Ruby sticks around she will to I can't help but feel that Ruby is putting on a brave front because these people NEED her to be brave. ... Sorry I am stopping here becuse ths whole post ended up devolving into an essay that I was already working on writing elsewhere, and WHEN I finish said post I will be glad to copy and paste the whole thing and share it with you. But for now I will leave you with these words. Pure things are surprisingly fragile.

Thanks! I don't think it's an entirely fair comparison to be made though. We have the luxury of adding and removing parts of the script in this format (i.e. exposition that the fans already know) to make space for that stuff. The problem right now is that 20 minutes of overall screentime per episode just isn't enough for a show with this many characters and relationships. (FINALE SPOILERS HERE:) Notice how we didn't get a Blake and Yang confrontation, even though it's been set up.

He's been present ever since and never really left, so that means both the Apathy events and the mech fight he was perfectly willing to let the rest of the cast die as long as Oscar wasn't involved.

Well in defense of Ozpin I always like to give a character a benefit of the doubt and let them explain. True he’s worse than Dumbledore when it comes to withholding VITAL information but on the other side of the coin he’s very much like Dumbledore as well. Very wise and knowledgeable and possibly has many deeds to his name. One prime example I can point out where people see him as a bad guy and are merely blinded is Pyrrha. Qrow, Glynda, and James were all on his side. Regardless of anything they tried Amber was going to die and Cinder gain the rest of the Fall Maiden Powers. I believe it was Ironwood who strongarmed Oz to find someone to try and be the Maiden. Glynda and Qrow didn’t like but they saw some of what he was saying and 3 against 1 Ozpin approached Pyrrha and explained it all, and backed her into the corner of ‘we need you to do this’. Ozpin wanted her to choose but Ironwood wouldn’t have it he wanted this, someone to not think just do it. And I think that’s been the case throughout all his reincarnations something has come up and each time he’s had his arm twisted and he shoulders the responsibility of taking the blame.
