Welcome to this episode of the travel podcast, where we share insights on visiting South Africa. In this episode, we share some tips and advice that are not commonly mentioned in travel videos. We discuss weather conditions, water and power shortages, economic disparity, and the country's complex social-political landscape. We highlight the need to be mindful of the country's history and ongoing struggles when having conversations with locals.

► Who are we?
We’re Rob and James, partners in crime and life for over 10 years. We love travelling, exploring and being outdoors with our dog, Oscar.
For the past few years, we have spent a month in the winter in warmer climes but the pandemic put paid to that (for now) so we decided to explore more of our beautiful home country, the UK.
At the start of 2021, we purchased our first #motorhome and boy, was it a steep learning curve. There was much we wished we had known both before and after we bought and so we decided to start this KZbin channel (as well as our website www.ontheroadagain.uk) in the hope we can share what we have learned and also share our mistakes and what we learn as we go along. Unlike many, we are relative newbies and want to share our honest journey with you.

Great video. Thanks. Deciding on when to visit is doing my head in. We are visiting Kenya, Victoria Falls, Kruger np and Cape Town. When it's good for one region the weather is less good elsewhere. I think I have sorted a compromise with starting in Kenya in September (to catch some of the migration) and ending in Cape Town late October. Obviously, I would love blue skies in Cape Town but I also want to see whales! I know it is not the best time to visit Vic Falls but I think it will still be awesome!
