I appreciate the more calming aspect of this video - some parents need calmness to accept they are having twins. I have a 4 yr old and 2 yr old and recently learned I am having twins. Honestly my heart sank when I was told I am having twins. The first thoughts that flooded into my mind were about how much more work will be involved (breastfeeding, night wakings, exhaustion, etc.). It was news I was not expecting at all. Now I am just educating myself more about twins.

blessings and he's giving great advice. my husband and i visit our daughter 2x a week to help out with her twins, 3.5 boy and teen(not much to do for him). granddad cleans and tries to entertain the 3.5, i relive mom and take over twins. the father works to keep it going and helps before he's off to work. try and get that help on board. and yes, never say no to help (unless there's a good reason) ❤🙏🍼🍼

Thank you. It has been a little over a year since we had twins. Everything is exactly as you described it. Hearing you was like someone had lifted a huge boulder off my shoulders called "i must be doing something wrong and i am a terrible father" I am not. It's just difficult and I am doing the best i can.

Hang in there! You can do this. The first year with twins is hard but if you can survive that, you can do anything.

I'm pregnant with twins now only nine weeks but I've been so nervous and worried trying to scoop up all information I can trying not to mess this up. Lol this video is helpful the thing is even thou you are aware of somethings(having the knowledge) like you know certain things is out your control, you have an idea of how crazy it is going to be and can get and you know it's ok to not be perfect at start but some how it makes one feel better hearing those same things you know being said to you by someone else, someone who've had trod that road before. It's comforting and I like how you deliver it; it's so calming and simple yet precise and to the point.thank you 🙏

About to have identical twin boys (as a first time father, in my late 30’s) and boy of boy…the metric ton of things I wish I did beforehand or knew about (but learned too late) is crazy. And my journey is just getting started. To top of off, and as the biggest thing I can recommend (if you’re older)…is personal health. I have essentially neglected my own health, since I was forced into doctors appointments as a teen. And I ended up having a huge amount of highly detrimental health issues that would immersions the my ability to parent, upkeep responsibilities and give my wife attention. Undiagnosed severe sleep apnea was easily the biggest. (I’m pretty much pre-programmed to deal with little sleep, since I’ve had untreated sleep apnea for many years - and it has absolutely destroyed my ability to practically do everything in life. Additionally, our twins had multiple complications. From TTTS, to macrosomnia, to gestational diabetes (wife, who was previously in great shape) and severe edema throughout her body. Ultimately leading to taking care of her as well. You cannot take care of others, until you learn to take care of yourself. It’s something that’s rarely iterated in any of these videos, and it’s honestly a shame.

My wife and I have a 4 and 2 year old children and TWINS! Just had our first night with them and I forgot what that 24 hour feeding was like. Like anything we will make it through. This video helped with my anxiety!

I have twins boys identical, it has had the ups and downs. Their sometimes play harsh hopefully they play nice and safe. They seem to fall without me wanting them too, I protect them a lot but they have their accidents.

Lol in the trenches for sure. The boys are 4. They are the tag team champs. You have some great advice. I remember how excited everyone was when they were born . people were fighting about who got to watch them first. when they both started crying at the same time oh man they were gone. I continue to learn everyday. That's my best advice to parents is never stop learning.

There’s a lot of work , also if your twins are fraternal or even identical never compare them or treat them like a package . It’s really hard when you try not to but then go out in public and everyone points out their differences. Don’t name them almost alike . Let them choose their clothes and hair .

😆😆😆my mother said she'd have them every Fri after I literally was in a psych unit. They were 3. She did it twice. Excuses after that. She had my brother's 2 sons multiple times a week for years.still to this day. Our twins are youngest of 7. For some reason I don't deserve a break or help.

An aunt here of twins and definitely from the day they were let out of the hospital ive been there for my brother and my sister in law… parents of twins definitely need breaks and time with eachother alone… if you say you are gonna be there for them you definitely should keep your word… my niece and nephew always pay me back with random I love yous through out the day i take care of them…I’m so used to seeing them as one since they are twins but I should really break out of this they are growing and trying to be their own person.

I don’t know how we can keep this up. 8yo, 2yo, and 6 week old twins. Plus we just found out mom has cancer. I can’t work as this is all too much for my wife and we are almost out of savings. I fear what will happen when she starts chemo in a week. We have very little help. I’m seriously scared. Combine all that with the lack of sleep and I’m a complete mess. The whole thing feels hopeless.

i have a 9 month old twin boys and a 6 year old daughter my past 9 months have been miserable exsauhsting i lost soooooo much weight and i do have help but still its NOT Easy AT ALL i havnt slept enough for long time or ate good meal since i came home from hospital i had to put them in the day care since im still a student and give myself an hour to rest and Clean my home expect laundry , cleaning , stress , being exsauhsted they take away pretty much some of everything out of your life i did not plan twins it just happend also i had a night mirror going through c section for the first time and recovering from it and finally be able to walk i do wish best of luck for myself and everyone else who already have twins or expecting twins also had so much fights me and my partner over managing everything its been a little hard and its still cant wait to pass this stage atleast to walk 🙏😄
