As a Turkish person, I would like to thank everyone in the comments for the prayers sent. There is indeed chaos, the number of dead and wounded are constantly increasing. There are still people under the wreck who are in this cold. People have difficulties in communicating with each other, warming up, sheltering and feeding. Schools were closed in all provinces. This is being talked about in all Turkish news channels. We share our pain. Thanks again to all of you for your help and prayers. Sorry if my English is bad. 🙏

This kind of devastation happens for 3 main reasons: 1) poorly constructed buildings-government did not check for them even though our scientists warn them for A LOT 2) 2 major earthquakes hits with 9 hours apart. 7.8 and 7.7 magnitudes and they are really close to the surface. I do not even mention the aftershocks which are more than 5. 3)poor communication after this type of disaster:poor management.

It reminds me the earthquake we had in 1985 in Mexico, the estimates eventually said between 10,000 -30,000 people died. I can feel for the people o Turkey, a strong earthquake leaves it's marks. Please demand from your governments to condemn old buildings and rebuild, that's what causes the most damage.
