You could argue that soup maker is so unique to your market that it requires a premium. The useful life is also not like a table, given that it has electrical components. So it’s not a buy once and own forever. We should apply a different model to those kid of items.

Perhaps a premium might be in order but I’ve noticed in my area catering items (chafing dishes, etc) sit unless they are competitively priced. The caterers will just buy it if they aren’t getting a deal. I’m still working my way up to a new customer base that will be renting catering items. I think once O have all of the fridges and ovens it might bring me to a new level where I can charge more. I still do gigs where I will get the tent but catering items are rented elsewhere due to me not having a huge variety. Ps, there are no electrical parts to the insulated soup transporter.

when you say what you rent stuff out at what is the timeline for that? is it one day, weekend or something else?

Most of my rentals are for up to 5 days. This gives my customers time to pickup and return the rentals.
