Forgive me please for being human and making a mistake. Heaven forbid. I took what you said to mean that Phil was the only reason Billy and Frank were there. I am so not worthy. But you know what? Jesus was born a Jew and he did a Jew. He wouldn’t know about Christianity since the religion didn’t exist until several hundred years after his death. Initially his followers considered themselves Jews as well, So when I go to the synagogue on Friday and Saturday, I know Jesus will be with me instead of you and Phil on Sunday.

I like Phil's attitude because these rock n roll stars are just people. They are precious to God too. Sometimes I wonder if we in the church have an us and them attitude as if we are the good people and they are the bad people. We are hopefully getting better in our walks but most of all we are the forgiven ones because we are sinners before God too. Years ago I was watching a documentary on Bon Jovi. Their drummer was talking about how he got drunk a lot and it stemmed from his father who had walked out on the family. He rebelled as a teen because his Dad wasn't there. I got tears in my eyes because here is this big rock n roll star who has tons of money and probably has values I don't agree with. Yet I didn't see him that way. I saw a little boy who was crushed because his father left.

What is a church? Is it the stained-glass windows or welcome bell mounted in the steeple? Is it the straight-backed pews or scent of incense wafting into the narthex? Sunday school classrooms or spaghetti dinners in the basement? If you view a church as a building, what happens when it goes away? It is heartbreaking, to be sure. These beautiful, historic buildings hold the echoes of hope and salvation for many throughout the years. But God’s church is greater than the bricks and mortar that hold His disciples. When the New Testament mentions “the church,” it is talking about the people-the body of Christ-who received the Holy Spirit and are sent to tell the Gospel. The Greek word ekklesia refers to “the gathered ones,” or believers called into community with God. The book of Acts ascribes emotions and actions to the church. “Great fear seized the whole church” (Acts 5:11) and “the church sent them on their way” (Acts 15:3). When you look at it this way, you’re not “going to church”-you are the church. Christians, of course, know this. But our Americanized idea of success-even success in membership-equaled bigger sanctuaries, sound booths, daycare centers and multi-million dollar building projects. Churches became communities in and of themselves-in the community, but not with the community. When we follow a biblical model, we can see that little time was spent worrying about where to meet and what accoutrements would attract the right kind of crowd. Disciples met in public squares and people’s homes to evangelize and fellowship with other believers. They were out in the community, forming relationships, and being the church. I believe there is a call to return to the roots of Christianity. Especially in this time of economic instability, what need have we for fancy buildings and expensive programming? The word of God is just as true in my living room or in a coffee shop as it is in a 1,000-seat sanctuary. While it’s certainly difficult to see great houses of worship fall to the brokenness of the world, we can be confident that it won’t affect the presence and impact of God’s ekklesia. “You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a Holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” - Ephesians 2:19-22

I used to speak and sing at a lot of churches across the mid-south in the early 90's and my prayer would always be that "They" would not see me but see Jesus instead. Let the Holy Spirit speak the words and not you and that's who they see. God bless all of you my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus!!!

It is the anointing not the beard,, lol. The cool thing about the beard is no matter how they look; the truth( anointing) they received in the beginning( faith in Jesus and rooted and grounded in love) taught them all things. The simplicity in Christ, not a phd in theology. The knowledge of the love of Christ is above any knowledge,or image, or merit of people.

You guys have helped me to turn back to Jesus, I thank you all for these broadcasts. Im a rock n roll outlaw with a six string gun. So I know the path of the dark side all to well. It’s always been a back and forth struggle in my mind conversations with the big guy and still is a daily battle. I don’t always come out in his favor. I do believe he knows we stumble, fall down, get back up and do it again. We torcher our selves because we sin. He forgives again and again. Love and brotherly, neighborly love can be amazing and worth any uncomfortable, awkward situation involved… Thank you… 🎸🤓🎸🙏☮️🇺🇸

Y’all please pray for me. I’ve been born again for over three decades and I’m almost 60 years old. As life has gotten harder and very stressful, I notice that I cuss a lot and, of course, I get angry and then I cuss. My patience with life in general is very thin. I have overcome a lot of struggles and addictions throughout the years, thanks be to Jesus and the Holy Spirit; I’m just really having a hard time with this business of getting angry and cussing.

To Kelly E. on 8/12/2021. I hear your pain and struggle. A long time ago I was informed by a good person. Don't get too hungry, thirsty, angry, lonely, tired. I have learned to also as a rule of thumb Don't wait too long to take care of problems, but take care of things as they happen so the are more manageable. The easy things happen as small issues, when time laps they are difficult. This takes time to get use-to them. Next, only take on things one at a time spacing things out, and provide times when you can deal with people in your "appointment schedule". You are stronger than you think". It just takes practice, leave early to go to places, I use to go to work one hour early since the freeway had construction on the two I had to take each day. Use your own judgement and experiment with it, and write down your results, what worked and practice your best results. I pray, dear God give Kelly E. the strength to make a lot of changes in his life and the life of the nice people around him, give Kelly the tools and creative skills to organize things, while having the time to keep you lord in his life every minute, hour, day and year to become wonderful over time praying for patience, your love and encouraging wisdom from you bible, in Jesus' name Amen. Please go for a new design of this helping hand from our lord. As I say Good Bless you and everyone who reads this Christie Lankford Lesko. :)

You and me both sister, our tongues are a raging fire, read James 3 on taming the tongue, pray without ceasing, and resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7 this is a very powerful statement when we resist Satan he will flee from us, nothing else appears to drive him away so fast as this, of course he will keep trying and coming back as often as we let him, so we keep up the good fight. If we study, follow and obey the word of God in the Bible we will see that we are commanded to believe, confess, repent, obey, be baptized, and live Godly, as instructed, we will then one day be rewarded with eternal life in the fathers kingdom. Stay strong.

I think it's worth noting that alot of ppl once accepting Christ start listening to their thoughts and feel discouraged or guilty when a difficult situation comes along and they make mistakes or continue to sin, so they question or start to fall away from Jesus. But as you continue to seek him, he pulls back those bad behaviors and habits so that after awhile you dont even desire them. I didn't quit my bad habits the moment I accepted Christ, but as I continue to seek him I continue to lose my appetite for my previous cycles of sin. Amazin

@@DIVINITYSAID Jesus used the written word against when tempted of Satan. This is one scripture that is powerful in time of need. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 [3]For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4](For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) [5]Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [6]And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

If I grew up in a Family of Faith , such as yours, I would be a Soldier for Jesus already. Instead, I am 59 years old and am growing up in my Faith, with you 3 as my Family. Bible time with you all means so much to me, my words cannot express it. My Thanks to Jesus my Savior whom led me here. I want to serve, I want to be a soldier for Jesus ! To save myself, to save others and to save My Country. But how can a sinner like me, teach anyone anything about being Righteous ??? Its not about me ..........
