African nations need to address 2 main issues in order for them to move forward economically. Their resources are far too valuable to sustain the ever growing global demand. First, good leaders. He must be able to provide for his people. Corruption must be seriously tackled. Critiques of President Ruto(ma) need to understand that Kenya has all the competing global forces to balance. More than most african countries save for Egypt and DRC. SO, he occupies a precarious position, at uncertain times, and with the region in flux. Everything he chooses to do at home is viewed with laser-sharp eyes around the world. And, being from outside of the mainstream Kenyan political elite, they are always on the look out to fail him. But the future will judge him ...
