Hey you guys got the facts about seventh day adventism completely wrong. I don’t know what source the info may have come from but we do believe Jesus is the Messiah. The difference between 7th day adventism and other christian faith is that we do not believe in judgement immediately after death (we dont believe people die and get sent to heaven or hell). We believe that when people die they are dead until the day that God returns to earth to gather those who kept their faith in him and led good christian lives and take them into heaven. As for the upcoming apocalypse its believed that sin will one day consume the earth and christians will face religious persecution until the day of Judgement. Just thought I’d clear that up.

Growing up in Waco, I can say that it actually happened about 30 minutes outside of town, so it really didn’t happen in the city itself. Also, Waco is definitely not in Louisiana and is actually in the middle of Texas between Dallas and Austin. David Koresh was a huge fan of music, and one of my family friends was in a band that was asked to play out at the compound. They did, and Koresh tried to recruit them unsuccessfully. Instead, the cult said they'll never make peace and that they trust their guns more
@GhostInTheShell296 жыл бұрын
SystemChirron, You should watch the raw video footage, not the media coverage of it. Those 3 FBI agents you are referring to climbed a ladder with guns drawn, and entered through a second floor window. The one agent's gun discharged while climbing the ladder and shot himself in the foot. The other two went into the building guns drawn. I wouldn't call that a negotiation. Imagine it from the perspective of the people in the building government agents coming through your window, and you hear a gunshot? I imagine you wouldn't think they are coming in for a little chat. During the months of waiting, they blasted that building many times with machine gun fire from helicopters, and tanks. Blasted loud music at all times to prevent sleep, and clear thinking. You can watch the video's if you have any doubts.

@@Zhello79 show me where the sabbath was done away with.
@Zhello796 жыл бұрын
@@josecampos9555 Majority of Christians who know what the New Covenant entails know that they are not required to observe a weekly sabbath. Christians are under the law of the Christ (New Covenant) which does not include keeping the Sabbath. (Galatians 6 : 2, Colossians 2 : 14-17, also see Romans 14 : 6). The Sabbath Law applied only to the people subject to the rest of the Law given through Moses. (Deuteronomy 5 : 2, 3, Ezekiel 20 : 10-12) God never required other people to observe a sabbath rest. In addition, even the Jews were released from the Law of Moses, including the Ten Commandments, by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Romans 7 : 6, 7,10 : 4; Galatians 3 : 24, 25, Ephesians 2 : 15). Instead of adhering to the Law of Moses, Christians follow the superior law of love Romans 13 : 9, 10, Hebrews 8 : 13. It should also be noted, as said before, Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant (1 Timothy 2 : 5). For Jesus acts as an in between for two parties, the main one Being God himself and on the other side, we have the group of men of the Priesthood unto mankind, this also defeats the purpose to claims of Jesus being God even we see that Jesus is a mediator of God, as was the mediator before him, Moses. Even in the Bible the Jews went after Jesus who was doing the work of his God and Father on the Sabbath Day, and clearly Jesus continued to heal the man, which angered the Jews, who were both against Jesus and plotting to kill him as well. Another factor is Pentecost, afterwards none of them even practiced and or observed the Sabbath, Paul himself didn't even join the other Jews who continued to Observe and kept to himself, and he went on to preach the good news gospel of the Kingdom in the Synagogue instead.

The Sabbath have been abolished by the New Covenant that took effect immediately after Jesus' last breathe, and the day the other fruits joined the Christ since they are of the Priesthood, therefore it has been done away with, already gave details using Bible verses.

The question about what happened should focus on the first few hours not the last. The BATF was clearly wanting a confrontation. Members of the Branch Davidians including David Koresh frequently left the compound before the siege. Koresh could have been easily apprehended at any time, in town, thereby sparing the siege and death of the members. Simple patience was all that was required. Also, the trial later revealed that they had no illegal weapons, if I remember correctly. This was a horrible tragedy that simply did not have to happen.

I got to tour the Branch Davidian Compound (called the Mt. Carmel Center) outside of Waco earlier in the summer. It was chilling to be standing on that site. The folks who still live there seem to think the fire was accidentally started by the tanks. They had lots of kerosene to power the generators.

@craigmartinj6 жыл бұрын
Lovely propaganda. I'm old and actually remember this so unlike your 20 something viewers I can tell you what happened. Yes they had weird beliefs. Yes they had a few guns and one unlicensed auto weapon (which is so common in Texas as to equate with a car that doesn't have up to date title and tags). The ATF wanted a budget increase and decided they needed a press event to justify it. There were children in the "compound" which really means house - don't you just love the rephrasing of common terms to military when it suits the narrative? Yes a "house" becomes a "compound" when the government want to terminate you. Much like the word terrorist right? Anyway so the ATF decides to attack. They could have just walked up to the house and said "you're under arrest" and nothing would have happened. But that doesn't make for a good budget increase so instead they came in guns blazing with a helicopter gunship overhead. They sprayed the place with CS gas (illegal in use during war but a okay on peasants at home!) and then threw in incendiary flash bang grenades which immediately caused a lethal fire. The ATF agents who died did so because the gunship overhead raked the house with .50 caliber bullets which penetrated the Type IV body armor of the agents who had already broken into the place. Everyone died. Children, adults, teenagers but at least the ATF got its budget increase. Janet Reno - the author of the debacle was given a pass by then President Bill Clinton provided she turned a blind eye to certain issues that the Clinton administration had been engaged in. Favors passed for favors dontcha know. She took "responsibility" which then meant "nothing happens to anyone in the government" while the corpses were collected, the media forbidden from entering and ALL the evidence was quickly bulldozed, scooped up and sent to secure locations and NONE of the evidence that the ATF shot first, instigated a hit, and murdered all the men, women and children in the house was allowed to be made public. This was an extermination launched by the US government that is every bit a stain on our country as the trail of tears was and sadly only the afterlife will see justice for it.

Just going to leave it at "they were stocking weapons."? ... ... ... ... Not; "they were legal fire arms dealers suspected of manufacturing illegal firearms." Gun stores call 250 guns an "inventory." the point is even if they did things differently than the rest of us did and had ways we would see as odd. That doesn't make them any less of an American citizen. They just wanted to be left alone and take care if themselves. Look... The ATF was looking to enforce a relatively new law called the hues amendment. That banned the manufacture of new fully automatic weapons in the US. They lied saying thier goal was drug enforcement so that they could gain access to the equipment and training they needed to assault the compound. Also left out that they knew the ATF were coming. They found out a spy on the compound was working for the ATF and that there was going to be a raid. What did they do with the spy? They let him go peacefully. The spy then told the ATF they had lost the element of surprise but they wanted to flex their muscles. Look at the situation from the ATF's view; 1, they know we're coming 2, they have access to military grade equipment 3, they train regularly 4, they believe the world is coming to an end soon and want to prepare for it 5, there are woman and children in the compound who would get caught in a crossfire 6, they have no violent history and have been inspected before for other charges And knowing all of that... ... They thought the best idea was to kick in thier door shooting???? WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? What do you think would happen in 50% of good ol'e boys homes if the government came to kick in thier door and take thier guns away!?!?!?!???? The same damn thing! We have laws because they are hard. If they were easy there would be no need to right them down in the first place. And if the ATF didn't try to flex their muscles to make an example... They would still be alive today. Children were burned alive in their homes because the ATF broke protocol to make an example to the rest of the country. It's disgusting.

I don’t remember seeing this on the news...
@jonokai6 жыл бұрын
Then you must not have been watching in 1993. This was all over the news. It was one of the early constant livestreams the news did. Things were interrupted so we could watch it all live if anything moved. Once, someone popped up at a window and the news interrupted Wheel Of Fortune just in case something happened. The big deal was that about a year earlier there was another seige. Look up Ruby Ridge. That was portrayed as a 'cult' style event though it was a family that lived off grid. A sniper killed one of the adults and a kid I think (double check that) and the news went nuts so when David Koresh pulled his stunt the news wondered if it was another Ruby Ridge. It turned out to be a much larger tradgety due to the number of childrena nd the sexual abuse that happened in the Waco compound. SO.. long post short.. I question your age and your access to televisions if you seriously were old enough to care in 93 and you dont remember this..... >.> Side note: ALSO in 93 was the bombing of the trade center parking garage. it was a messed up year.
@bluesauce34326 жыл бұрын
jonokai thanks for your reply and your in-depth knowledge on this. No I was quite young in 93 so didn’t watch it, this is the first iv heard of it so assumed it was a recent affair. I will look into it, sounds an interesting/bizarre event...
@jonokai6 жыл бұрын
Ahh, yes, sorry if I sounded snippy. I was 11 at the time and it made a huge impact on me at the time as my parents and I watched the news all the time and there was no FCC 30 second delay at the time. Anyway, just do yourself a favor and try nto to jump down the rabbit hole of conspiracy sites. The truth was that the FBI was not equipped to deal with the situation and when they brought in the military for backup it just all went to hell. Basically, start with Ruby Ridge, then look at Waco, then understand that these two incidents did lead to Timothy Mcveigh deciding to do the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. On a side note, in 93 the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Units (think criminal minds but less exciting) were still learning. They did not know how to deal with cults then. Everyone made mistakes. So no it wasn't good, but no it wasn't some FBI conspiracy. It's very interesting. I would suggest "Stalling for Time: My Life as an FBI Hostage Negotiator" by Gary Noesner (a former FBI negotiator) The book covers more than just Waco but he was involved personally in the negotiations then. It's on Amazon.

The Waco Incident triggered the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995, 3 years after the incident. Timothy McVeigh was working on a pickup truck at a friend’s house in Michigan when his friend told him about the Waco Incident on the news. When McVeigh saw it, he burst into tears. He thought the government were being bullies towards the people. He chose the day of the bombing on April 19, the day of the Waco Incident. Both were very tragic.
