Kiss has got to be the most overrated rock band of all time. But I give them credit, they sold their image more than their actual music, which is why we have all the shit music we have today thats so focused on image over substance. Hardly any of their music is being played still unlike other bands from their era, outside of "I wanna rock and roll all night" They're like the brand Supreme, you can get everything from Kiss toilet paper to pinball machines, to caskets. Gene really thinks hes on the level of people like Mick Jagger or Ozzy and hes just not, he was in a gimmicky band that no one under the age of 40 even likes anymore.

Boomer here. KISS fans were bullied back in the day, in the 70's. There was Steely Dan, Supertramp, Kansas. Styx, Boston, etc... so everyone knew that KISS never measured up musically. It was all about the show. The spectacle. Made them filthy rich. Who cares?

It's not: 'seems like', it was, is, will be going back to RUSH opening up for Nazareth & this idiotic 'band'. It's done indoors so his hair doesn't get blown away & it never grew for DECADES nor greyed oddly enough. The weirdest thing about this jerk, is he's worth more than Jimmy Page- maybe more than Plant! I find that whole thing especially disturbing re the quality of 🎼 available to pick. In DC, (DC101FM) that Brain Child's LIVE LP w/such great lyrics & subjects as Cold Gin, Vodka & OJ, etc- masterpieces of Music did what most 'LIVE' LPs did in DC- introduced to the masses, what sounded like a GREAT Band! 'Hear that LOUD Applause‽ They MUST BE GOOD!' So many Bands were never heard of in the DC, suburban MD, Nor VA Areas- until after the 'LIVE' LP was pushed out: Humble Pie, Frampton Solo, Bob Marley, Foghat, so many different Bands w/LPs out the Station (1 major) refused to play until after the first LIVE LP came out with canned applause exactly like the Live Yardbirds LP that Epic released ('74) after Zepellin hit it Big- but the people who were doing the Mix used applause from bullfighting & oddities from various sources like that. Page bought up the Rights, remastered it's original Tapes w/out Bullfighting cheers & such stupidity & it's available as Y'birds Live '68 (Anderson Theater in NY '68). The idea of pushing music w/LOUDER Applause into & coming out of each/every Song, Comment wasn't lost on the labels & Promo people w/Payola to get to the DJ if not the Programmers is what made the Bands listed above & more seem like brand new Artists- meanwhile Frampton, eg- had 3 Solo LPs to draw from that were NEVER PLAYED- NOT in the DC Area anyway. Sound familiar?
