There were a few things I forgot to mention in the video, which were the total production numbers. There were 600 full size trucks produced and 600 Rangers produced, so 1200 trucks in total. I was referring the “300” to each of the full size trucks production numbers. Another thing I didn’t mention was that the accessories weren’t buried to be petty, it was the decision of Ford due to the fact that they could not resell the leftover parts after the lawsuit, and Scherer had sued Ford for it.

my dad bought the 250 bigfoot brand new. they titled it as a 1988 model. His had the light bar and graphics on it. he used it as a work truck and removed the light bar and mounded diamond plated tool boxes on each side of the bed. I remember riding in it as a kid to pick up mulch or take trash to the dump. He sold it 20 years ago not knowing how rare it was.. would be cool to find it and buy it back!

Seen one of the early 90's style you mentioned in your video. It is in Warrensburg, MO.

Just looked them up, never heard of them before! Kinda looks like a mix between a Freewheelin package and the Explorer package, it’s badass 🤟🏻

Hey there GasGuzler great video as always! The best part of 1987 was that 351s and 460s were last year of carbureted no computer bs.

Yep! They were pretty cool, only issue was finding certain parts for them such as the one year fuel tank sending unit.

I remember when those came out. It's a shame that they didn't do it on the 92-96 bodies. They were, by far, the better looking front end. They didn't replicate the Bigfoot look enough for me anyway.
@GasGuzler2 ай бұрын
@@meandthemrs7403 They did bring back the Bigfoot Cruiser on the 1994 F-Series, however it had a much more subtle appearance than the 1987 Bigfoot Cruisers. I believe production numbers were even lower on the 1994 models.

Ford a.d sheerer prob had a contract and had to do something with all the production parts..

You are correct, I should have clarified in the video. They didn’t destroy the accessories to be petty, they did it because they weren’t allowed to resell them after the lawsuit.

I seriously dial the company doing these conversions just dug a hole and buried that stuff,q think about it who would do that? Let's just throw away every penny I invested in this stuff!? Right! Minus the stickers, I bet they sold every accessory to F series owners, has just regular accessories.
@GasGuzler9 ай бұрын
The contract they signed with Ford basically said they weren’t allowed to resell the accessories after the incident, so Ford took them and buried them. Scherer ended up suing Ford for it though because of how much money they had lost. They did sell the rest of the decals however, Eli Mann bought the majority of them and has sold them to people trying to restore these trucks, I’m not sure if he still has any.
