Take this with a grain of salt, I’m no expert, but I have a few theories on this: 1.) Women would rather have an honest asshole than a dishonest sweetheart. When you’re super sweet, you might be a snake in the grass. If you’re being an asshole, there’s no guess work. 2.) Unresolved self worth issues. This can come in the form of daddy issues, previous relationships, etc. A woman who has no prior trauma and is confident in her self-worth will be accepting of safety and value. 3.) Confidence of assholes. Women love confidence and assholes are full of it. Again, in my opinion, a woman that knows her worth will gravitate to a confident, good-hearted guy. But 💯 want confidence, it’s just in where they seek it. Please feel free to constructively push back, but these are my observations

I'm from Northern Europe, and it sounds strange to me how it seems like many places in the US are going backwards into the future regarding abortion. There are many reasons why someone chooses an abortion, and having that option is a good security. And as Caitlin says, you can be unlucky, even if you use contraception, and it may not always be easy to get hold of emergency contraception.

In a way, communication does lead to a woman being relaxed. When I was a teenager, I was a short, fat kid with glasses and there was NO way I was getting anywhere with a girl other than the "just friends" but what I found out was that when a girl or woman doesn't think you're only out there after one thing, they open up a lot, and one thing that relaxes a woman is someone who is willing to listen to them. Letting her vent about her day, what's going on etc. allows her to relax and de-stress. So while I never got anywhere when I was younger, I found out later on that being a good listener and allowing a woman to vent can make her relax and they're look past a lot of those flaws.

yea I don't agree with the over turning of Roe V Wade. I can understand and respect were religions believe that abortion is not an answer. but there is no "one" religion out there, and no "one" train of thought. there are other people who will think about situations differently. and those who choose to take away peoples rights and options based on their own ideals is just flat out wrong and closed minded. if your religion and beliefs tell you a certain thing great, your choice to follow them. but to push that ideal on other people is not right. a blanket no choice approach to reproduction options is also a great way to have people not want to have relations in the first place. We should vote for more options and ideas, not on the oppression of choices.

Abortion is not the answer. If you don’t want to risk pregnancy than don’t engage in sexual activity. Use birth control if you need to. Have other types of sexual activity that can’t lead to pregnancy. But abortion is not “the easy way out” answer. Sorry, not sorry. We can disagree. It’s called responsibility in the action.

Yet it still needs to be available. Accidents happen, even in couples who are married. It is a legitimate form of birth control. If you don't want one, don't get one. But don't take someone else's rights away just because you don't like it. I don't like that people go to monotheistic religous establishments or espouse those beliefs. I think it's medieval and despicable because they preach only exclusion and hatred. Doesn't mean I would actively try to make them illegal even thought I think they should be.

And if the woman's or child's pregnancy is a result of force/SA? How are they to control such things? Not many sex offenders are putting condoms on or taking requests from their victims. And thats not even taking into account the medical reasons that may make it necessary to abort. We can disagree (but you're in the wrong). It's called responsibility to protect which covers forced pregnancy (limiting & failing to provide abortion care is a form of forced pregnancy)

People are not getting abortions as a conscription or a the "easy-way-out". No woman wants an abortion. No woman wants an unwanted pregnancy from a rape. No woman wants a wanted pregnancy that triggers cardiac issues in the mother and may kill her. Abortions are very emotionally and physically devastating, even without people harassing them, judging them and abusing them for it. People need abortions as an option. No one wants to have an abortion.

Catlin, I usually like your videos. I must say I am very disappointed in this video. As a couple that wanted children but couldn't have any, we both hate the way mothers can selfishly terminate a baby inside them just because they don't want it. You say that women's choices are limited due to the restriction of abortion. Well, isn't the baby growing inside the woman's body choices limited if the woman decides to be selfish and terminate it? It didn't ask to be conceived. The mother decided to take the choice and uncross her legs knowing there is always a chance to become pregnant. The child growing inside her is not HER body. It is not just some chunk of her flesh. It is a totally separate, living human. Not a fetus, or anything else people like to call it. It is a human being. As a living human being, it also should have a choice to live. I think it is unconscionable to think that ''I can just go and screw around and have fun. If I get pregnant, I can just kill it. No problem.'' I know my opinion my not resonate with some of your listeners. For that I am sorry. But for you to promote having sex should be free of consequences is unbelievable to me. It made me lose a lot of respect for you and your teachings.

One of the many problems with modern society is people wanting to live a life free of consequences. It is not possible. All of our actions have consequences, some good, some bad. If you don't want an unwanted pregnancy, then don't engage in sexual activity. I can't stand the whole my body my choice argument. You made your choice, you had sex knowing that pregnancy is a possible outcome. Once you are pregnant and a baby is growing inside of you it is no longer just your body. There is another human life to consider. People want to use abortion as a form of birth control and it is just wrong. Take responsibility, grow up and accept the consequences of your actions. Bringing life into this world and being a parent is amazing. If that is not something you want then give the child up for adoption so that baby can bless the life of someone else.

Here is my preamble. I know that I am most likely the only one that is prolife in this comment section. If killing another human being is the way to a good sexlife, then I would rather be alone. I am a 22 year old man who doesn't have a good life set up yet. I still have to get a good job and do allot of work on myself before I can reproduce. Nomadder what softened language we use an abortion still kills a life, and dam it that is how we all got here. I don't think that any of us would go back in time and tell our parents to kill us. And people who say they wish that they were never born, usually have other mental problems to work out. I am rambling here, what I am trying to say is, if waiting untill I have the means to support a family is the right thing to do, then why should women not be responcible as well. In any sexual incounter women are usually more aware ofthe possibility of pregnancy than men. The short of this is, both men and women need to be more responcible. The Lord gave us sex primaraly for reproduction, but if he didn't make it pleasurable than we wouldn't ever do it.

Brave putting something this divisive up. It's your opinion and I respect it. I am of the opinion that terminations should only be used in the most extreme of circumstances, that is my personal stance on it. When the mother's life is at risk, when the child's life is going to be a short and painful one or they will be plagued with a disability that will seriously impede their quality of life, when someone has been assaulted and would have to otherwise go through the trauma of carrying their attacker's offspring to term. What I don't think it should be is a safety net, or alternative, to responsibility and accountability. You can argue when a life starts for an eternity and every scientist or religious group will have their own take on it. The most morally sound approach that everyone ought to agree on, is that prevention with the plethora of methods of birth control is preferable to snuffing out a life after the event. Accountability should be the responsibility of both participants too, or everyone involved if you're a party person! I mean, we all have our own moral compass, but during the argument a couple of years back there was an actress I much admired who stated she had had 3 terminations and was "proud" of it! I mean, really? I won't unsub like some have commented, but I won't give this one an upvote either. Sorry.

What a nasty thing to say ... being proud of an abortion... she should feel ashamed instead of proud... ashamed she got pregnant, unwanted, 3 times. That being said, I do believe women should get a second chance if they get pregnant unwantedly. If your intentions are not to get pregnant, but it happens anyway (due to failed birth control), you should be able to get an abortion.

I hate to add one more problem to your list but I got my high school sweetheart pregnant and she got an abortion......... I'm 62 and I haven't made it not one day without wonder what that other child would have been like to me. It kept me away from a relationship with Jesus Christ for twenty years. I wouldn't wish the pain and sorrow of an abortion on anyone. Have the child and adopt it out to someone who really wants and can't have one. Please DON'T kill it! You can always go back to see it afterwards but abortion is murder and it will affect you for the rest of your life. God set before you life and death and said to choose life. You can repent and receive Jesus and He WILL pay for your sins but there is no need to intentionally add to them.

Your personal religious beliefs and subsequent guilt is just that ... YOURS. Other people have different lives, different circumstances, different beliefs. I find it interesting that you contemplation DOES NOT tell us what your sweetheart's reasons and feelings were. That is the problem with the christo-fascist agenda....the pregnant individual's mindset is irrelevant! 😠

First time I've disagreed with your ideas. When a woman falls pregnant, it's through her choice to have intercourse with full awareness that it could bring a human life into the world. That human life is 50% her egg, and 50% the man's sperm. She's just providing a house for the growing baby for max 9 months, and when the baby is born, the man will be expected to provide a house for the next 18 or more years for her AND the child. Therefore, abortion is not just about her being a very temporary shelter for the growing child, but protecting a creation that is 50% the future father's. So never mind that the baby has rights, so does the father. So in conclusion, when abortion is not seen as ONLY the woman's body making a choice, but that the Father is obligated once the child is born, so should have a say in the abortion as well... THEN we can decide to vote for abortion as a form of contraception or not.

Very good post. I live in Texas. They believe in repressing what they do not agree with. Really backward mentality. We should allow a freedom of choice. This does not pertain to violent crime. No need to say anything ridiculous. I also do my best to make women feel safe. We are men. That is our.job, along with being responsible and considerate to others.

I love this channel and I agree that making a woman feel secure is very important for romance. However, I respectfully disagree that abortion is a good security choice. Men should share responsibility for preventing unwanted pregnancies. For example, a vasectomy also helps a man feel secure in preventing pregnancies, as I can attest to. Thank you for raising this topic.
