You’re missing the most important part of the title, which is “for these players” Everyone knows that the nature of competition lends itself to winning some and losing some, naturally. What makes this video interesting is the fact that the players talked about here were, for all intents and purposes, favorites whose losses were uncharacteristic for them. It's sad to see Thiem fall out of relevance the past few years but I don't think it's impossible to come back. When the fitness is still at a pro level, it can be a lack of confidence that gets in the way of sustained success. The competition is still at a high level in the Challenger tour; Sinner used that as a stepping stone to the ATP level tournaments rather than the traditional Juniors route. Here's hoping that Thiem can make a sneaky 4R/QF run at Roland Garros and get people talking about him again.

sucks that Thiem isn't able to break through I wish he could get back.. shows how hard it is to overcome injuries and get back to elite levels. Him, Berrettini, Kyrgios and Nadal make it back to playing summer would be most awesome. although I know Kyrgios would probably skip the French and focus on grass season and hard court..

Alcazar beat Djokovic to win the Wimbledon title and Alcaraz didn't beat Djokovic since, other than an exhibition tournament. I don't think this will happen to Sinner... From watching Sinner played at AO, he is going to give Djokovic a hard if they meet in another slam... Djokovic has to put all his ducks in a row when playing Sinner❤❤❤

Right now, Sinner is the best player on the planet. But don't worry. Alcaraz is still at the top and we are looking at a new Fed/Rafa rivalry. And don't write Djoker off. His resiliency is remarkable. Rune is a punk and needs to grow up. He's got game, but perhaps an overinflated sense of his mojo. On the ladies side, Rybakina is quiet but deadly. Easy power and good temperament. She can match Sabalenka's power. Toss in Coco Gauff and you have the top three for a decade. Ostapenko is just a spoiled brat.
