One ought to remember the words and desires of St. Therese of Lisieux: "To be betrothed to You, Jesus, to be a Carmelite, to become, through my union with You, a mother of souls - surely that ought to be enough for anybody? But somehow, not for me. I seem to have so many other vocations as well! I feel as if I were called to be a fighter, a priest, an apostle, a doctor, a martyr. . .I want to be a priest." Yet, she humbly submitted herself to the deigns of Holy Mother Church, and, in effect, she did become all that she desired through her specific role and vocation given to her by Christ. Now, as members of the Body of Christ, we celebrate the gifts that she gives to us, through her sacrifice to His will as a mother of souls, as a saint and as a Doctor of the Church. What a blessing for all!

I often see a mystical similarity between Motherhood and the Priesthood. I’ve never wanted to be a priest. I’ve only ever wanted to be a mother, but I can see the similarities with the priesthood. I’m grateful for the priest because he takes on the most burdensome role us mothers must play: offering perfect sacrifice to God while simultaneously teaching the next generation how to properly offer their sacrifices to God. It’s such a relief to be able to attend Mass as a bystander and know that my participation is secondary to the priest’s. Imagine putting all of these roles into the women. I’m glad the Church has established these important roles for men to carry out so that the women can relax.

@@AbbeyClint Thank you! I am an older Mom, just turned 49. Devoted to the TLM at a nearby Monastery ' Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem, after attending mass at a Reverent N.O. for many years. I knew something was Rotten in Denmark Summer of '18 and started learning more seriously about the TLM... Dr. Taylor Marshall and Sensus Fidelium channel helped a lot w that. I now consider myself a Trad Wife but so far few of my kids even attend mass (so it is hard), but my husband MUCH prefers TLM, we have a lot to learn from beautiful families like yours!

Our Holy Mother submitted to Saint Joseph, a man. Is she not God’s masterpiece, does her excellence and Holiness not exceed all the Saint’s combined. Perhaps the modernists believe she acted wrong. Great video, I felt your frustration which is so justified. We should pray for the Pope, it’s hard because he is trying to destroy the Church.

Exactly! Great example. Our Lady’s submission to Saint Joseph is more than enough proof for the perfection of this state in life as a Sacrament. Modernists are clueless

@@AbbeyClint Also, Our Lady is the ideal in both vocations mentioned in your video. She is the most pure Virgin, a pure example for women who enter a religious vocation and she is Our Most Holy Mother, a pure example for women who marry and become Mothers. The fact that she encapsulates both paths signifies the great dignity that God assigns to both.

I found this video extremely important and interesting. I loved how you compared the church itself to a woman, I totally agree with it. It is pretty much like that anywhere in the world, the temples and churches r always ran by men and women help to maintain it only, they r not running it in the top positions. In Hinduism men are the priests not women.

I feel like there are still some few places in the church and in society that are women's spaces only. But much fewer for men. Like men aren't itching to get into CCW. But women are always trying to "help" with KOC stuff. Then they wonder why the men stop getting involved. Just what I've seen in my area 🤷🏻‍♀️
