I'm 63 and never watched snooker in my life. A few months ago, KZbin suggested "All of Ronnies 147's". I watched it out of curiosity and got hooked. I now watch multiple matches per week (past tournaments) and can really appreciate how good this guy truly is.
@therealthreadkilla7 ай бұрын
It was about 4-5 years ago for me, and I got hooked, so bad in fact that I bought an old 10' Wenco American snooker table and fully restored it. Took a whole year and I was just finished a month ago. So it's been pretty much 1 month of nonstop snooker. The pockets on this table are incredibly tight, 75mm, and just making a ball is a reward. There's no place here in the states to play snooker so I only had one choice. Current high break is just a 30......LOL
@MarkAMMarrk7 ай бұрын
@@therealthreadkilla Very cool... 👍. I remember once back in the 80's (my 20's) I went to a family billiards hall and played regular 8-ball on a snooker table. Since I never knew anything about snooker until this year, I have assumed for the last 40 years that there were just some really big pool tables out there, and wondered why I never saw another one! That's how popular snooker is over here. What a great sport though. Have fun with your table!

I think it's Trump who's generous here - Ronnie is in a complete state, and Trump has just lost the final. You can see the moment Trump clocks that Ronnie has genuinely gone to bits and is opening up to him, and it takes him by surprise. Despite probably being gutted with losing, Trump takes the moment to listen, and to respond with some amazing heartfelt words to Ronnie. I genuinely think this is one of the most unique sporting moments caught on film, especially given the context of the Ronnie documentary on Amazon. Awesome

Ronnie never had the character to win a grueling tournament that lasts two weeks solid, so he had to go through the pain of losing for a while to grow enough to finally develop the character to get over the winning line. The pressure is immense, we see what it did to Jimmy White who also wasn't a robot like Hendry, Higgins, Selby and Roberton. Look what's happening to John Higgins, one of the greatest players to play the game and it's killing him out there, the pressure that is. The King Ronnie loves snooker as no one else, and he wants that his crown keeps in good hands. He has always had a special feeling for Judd, and that words to him is like he is transferring the kindom of snooker to the next king. Great words of Judd too, he deserves to be in that position.

What a moment. Pure class from the Juddernaught. He made me a fan that night. This reminded me of Eddie and Chris closing out WMXX.

This could only have happen if Trump lost to Ronnie in the final .... Just such a monumentally beautiful moment ... Really really made me view Ronnie in a different way .... For both players and everybody watching this was extremely emotional to watch ... The longer it went on the more I knew immediately it was going to be a profound moment of snooker .... Its almost like the loss for Trump was as big as a win for him as they both got to open up like they did from the result .... Incredibly beautiful moment ❤

You don't have to be a snooker lover to Ronnie and what he does hes to Snooker what Hamilton is to F1 and what Clarkson Hammond & May are to Cars the GOAT, or as Clarkson would say the best ----------- in the world.

Screw Hamilton. He’s a trust fund baby given everything from birth. And got no charisma or charm. Ronnie is Poetry

Don't ever compare Hamilton to Ronnie. Ronnie has the same equipment as everyone, yet he had 3x the longevity of Hamilton, who's had superior machinery 14/17 years he's been in the sport. Leave it to you deranged Ham fanboys to bring F1 into Snooker, for f*** sake...
