I am a beginning quilter and this video and information was so very helpful as I search for easy pattern ideas. I've been drawn to the beautiful colors in the Honey Buns and the Jelly Rolls and this is the perfect way to combine them. Thank you so much.

I get a lot of supplies given to me in this small town we retired to...once they found out I sew. But the others are quilters. I dont quilt although I borrow techniches. Free motion but for calligraphy writng and thread painting. This winter Im scrap busting cut scraps I guess for or from quilts into coasters etc. Things that go fast. I was given I guess jelly rolls. Some I used as binding to make toddler pillow cases dresses from vintage embroidered ones. Some just look like ticking fabric. I cant imagine anyone would use in a quilt. Grays, red etc. in lengthwise stripes. Not even nice as binding. So I saw a folded star ornament thing. Id put some of these scraps together with the jelly rolls but I am not going to quilt as in measuring accurately and sewing accurately. I do sew accurately but doing it for clothing fit is different. I do make tote bags from jeans. I have done a bit of strip quilting. I just need ideas how to use this up fast.

I thought that quilt was called "hugs and kisses" as for the X's and O's. Im the odd ball...I love cutting fabric. I only buy in yardage form. Even worse, besides cutting sewing the binding is next. Start the quilt, then finish the quilt! Btw, I love the short hair. You look so much younger. At first I really thought it was someone else. Tfs.

I just don’t get the ruler cutting on an angle bit, I mean how do you know how far to angle it? I’m soooo dumb about quilting, I am learning on here, but even though I have more than everything I need to make my first simple quilt, I’m scared to try

If I wanted to make the highlight fabric from yardage, how much would you recommend?
@AnitaSouthall Жыл бұрын
42 strips by width of fabric would be a full toll worth. 42 x 2.5 inches is 21 x 5 is 10.5 x 10 so 105 inches of yardage length. So around 3 yards. Does this make sense?

Is there any reason why your channel has been listed as "Made for Children" ? Under Googles new rules this month the notifications bell is greyed out for your channel so I no longer get notifications. When I click on the bell it comes up with this phrase - Made for children. As a sewing channel surely that is a wrong classification for you.

Hi Maureen, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! We will make the necessary changes to ensure you can receive notifications for our videos. We are definitely family-friendly, but not exclusively for children!
