Beautiful backyard. Love all those trees. I have a similar problem. My avocado tree drops leaves all spring and summer. My regular trees and neighbors trees all fall. So, I get lots of leaves as well.

I have a corded leaf vacuum from a different brand that works well (but I am looking to go cordless), and I’ve found sweeping the leaves with a leaf blower first really helps. Even If you don’t blow them into a pile, just shifting things around helps loosen them up from the ground, especially if they’ve been rained on.

I'd be interested in seeing a video on your impressions of that lawnmower. The fact that it folds up and doesn't need gas are two very desirable traits. I'm curious if it has enough power to do a good job and if the battery lasts long enough to do your whole yard.

We will work on a video for sure! I will say I let my neighbor borrow it to try out on his yard, and after the first mow, he went out and bought himself one. He put his gas mower at the end of the driveway with a "free" sign on it right after 😆

The mower is fantastic! I have the no-frills version: NOT front wheel propelled, one mower blade, but does cut 20”. Very quiet compared to gas mowers, cuts just fine, and has parts for either bag catching or kick out grass clippings. I’ve had mine a month, only needed to use twice so far, am very happy with the purchase.

I have the mower. I use a rider for the bigger back yard but the gf uses the push Ryobi out front sometimes because it’s smaller. Cuts very well, batteries last pretty well and it’s pretty quiet. I’m a fan. 🤙🏻

You can turn the bag inside out and squirt some dawn dish detergent on it and hose it down or take it to the laundry mat every other month.

Mine had the wheels break off, battery garbage and bag clip broke off. I never got parts from Ryobi to fix.

Thanks for the review! I like the concept and I agree with your points. I am going to go ahead and pass on this product because the neighborhood loves to have their dogs poop in my yard. Had my unit going on 3 years. Does a pretty good job with leaves, but I have a type of locust tree. The big long seeds the tree drops about every 3 years gives the unit fits. Very hard to vacuum them up.

A stem from my mums got caught in the vacuum, the stem is less than 1/8" thick, it passed through the fan but i can still feel suck when I put my hand in the output. It stopped the machine and it won't work. I have to get some extra long hex keys to try to open the machine and try to fix it, if I do get it fixed I wouldn't use it to vacuum anything other than very small leaf piles, that I am sure have no other debris.

You have to hold it more upright so your arms feel the weight because the snout is way to long, suction is better when snout opening is like sealed to ground. I would like for my arm to hang not to feel weight of unit and bag filling.

what if you raked the leaves in to a pile and vacuumed them, might be able to see sticks better, also have you hosed out the bag and hung in the sun to air dry? even better if you could turn inside out, but not sure that is an option. maybe use a hose sprayer bottle [ like the ones that spray grass feed.and mix with water ] and add a bit of oxide clean or dish soap , might help. just a. few suggestions

I had a Toro & the bag had a zipper on it, which kept coming apart. Have you had any problems with the zipper. Great video!

#1 chronic issue with leaf vacs. Keep the bag clean and dry. Never Ever wet the bag or the stitching WILL rot. Beware of twigs in the zipper ! 😳 It almost always comes down to the bag. Buy A Spare... 😉

I have a lot of pine trees, how does it do on pine needles and what if it sucks up a pine cone, will it damage it?

I have not tried pine needles, but I don't think it would be great for that. If it sucks something up that is too big, it will get stuck in the blades. I have been able to remove anything that gets stuck pretty easily.

Just seems like a wet/dry shop vac would work better. I mean, it looks like it didn't shred up much at all when you emptied it into the bag.

I hope you took the battery out when you did that with the blade. I have a Ryobi blower that had an issue with the switch...it would stay on even when NOT pressed...very dangerous if that should happen. Now I always take the batteries out of all my tools when messing with the blades or drill bits or whatever, first.

👍🎃 Thanks for this video. I just went to Home Depot and was going to buy one today…. Until I realized what a ridiculously stupid idea it is to buy one “in store” instead of ordering one online. Online you can get the tool, battery, and a charger for $219 bucks. In the store??? Well…. 🙄 they conveniently only have the “tool only” box available for $179… but invite you to buy a battery separately… for like $198 dollars!!! 😮 lmao!!! 😂😂😂 then… the battery does not come with any way to charge… so you need to buy a charger for $95 dollars. With tax… your damn near $500 bucks when if you order online you get all this same stuff for $219 conveniently in one box. 😂😂😂😂😂 You can’t make this stuff up. 🤣 The genius ways they’ll come up with these days to really stick it to ya. Ridiculous.

I've never run out of battery using it, but I've never tested this tool specifically to see how long it would last. I have two 40-volt batteries so if one was used up, I would just switch to the other. -Steph

Way too awkward emptying the bag. It should have a larger opening at the bottom , not the side of the bag.

Depends on how intense your land scaping is. They're useful in the thick of it. 😉 If you just have a Butt Ton of leaves buy a Little Wonder leaf vac. Best Made hands down ! 😀👍

In the uk we have a portable hoover thats made just for dog poo but its a £1000 fine if you dont pick up you dogs poo if it poos on the street or on the park of other places thats how bad it was but now i never see any dog poo so the fine issue must be working, also its funny but bit gross seeing a dog do a fresh poo then someone picking it up with a plastic sandwich bag and then putting it in their bag or pocketwhen its still warm ( err gross ) but it could be good on a cold if your hands get cold you could just put your hand / hands in you pocket to get them warm again make sure the bags tied up otherwise you will get a pooy whoopsie
