I live in Blackshear and I primarily fly fish for every species of fish. I’ve been fishing the swamp spider jr. on a 7 foot 3 weight fly rod. I tie my own flies but u wanted to give yours a shot. I have to trim the legs though because they get caught in the inside of the hook bend when false casting when they come out of the package with the long legs. It’s been crushing all panfish species lately. Caught a big rooster on the white spider down river from where you were in that recent video, where you had to drag your kayak through the cypress knees and around that tree, where there’s a big puddle to your left. The fly rod is nice when needing to make a longer cast and I think it’s a more fun fight.

Nice😎Nothing wrong with that! Fly rod definitely is a fun way to catch them. Speaking of the legs…I’ve got buddies that also like to trim them, personally I like them longer so they will foul up here and there, it seems like I get a bunch of strikes especially when one side is fouled and quivering funny, but that’s just my personal preference. Great . We used lures like the swamp spider growing up in East Georgia. Mostly Brier Creek and Savannah River.We would rig them with small inline gold spinner and a small treble hook over the hook held on with small piece of rubber band. Those would catch everything . I like your lures and videos. I got to try to fish them on top . Thank you

Yes sir it works for the jr as well. And surprisingly it casts about the same despite weighing less.
