Thank you for sharing, Emily! I often think about you while running-haha, kind of awkward, I know-but I’m a slower runner, and I’m training for my second marathon. When I need motivation, I think about YOU. Happy half in Barcelona !!!!

Always love your videos and your look on life 😊 Could you do a video of long run that is a sightseeing tour of London? 😄

Pace alerts with a -20/+20 second range either side might be useful, so you don't have to keep looking at your wrist or use average pace so it doesn't jump around too much when you look down at it. =D!

how do people run somewhere and then have plans there? like I immediately need a shower after every run, I stiiiink 😂😂
@Runswithemily5 күн бұрын
Hahaha I honestly wouldn’t have done the run if I didn’t make the run part of my Saturday plans!

@ I totally get that, but I get so gross while running I could never 😭😂

I use pace alerts for the interval-y type of runs, so I create the training on my COROS app and load it onto the watch
@Runswithemily5 күн бұрын
Yes!!! Totally forgot I could do this!!!

I just ran my first half marathon yesterday as prep for a 50k in June. I much prefer heart rate training over pace, it usually gives you a range so a bit more leeway than pace. 😊

Wooo well done on your first half!!!

Changing to RPE was a good idea! Sadly my watch doesn't do that, it's pace or heart rate...but I find it hard to judge effort so I guess I don't mind too much. It'd be a good skill to learn, though. But it's funny how our minds can limit us, isn't it? I've found that sometimes the workouts I've been the most reluctant to do turn out to be the best ones. Looks like that worked for you this time!

So true, running is as much of a mental game as it is a physical one

Fellow back of pack runner here. I know which breathing pattern equates to which level of output, so that's how I stay in my target zones
@Runswithemily5 күн бұрын
I would for up for this, the only issue I have is that my heart rate just SHOOTS up. I had to do a fast walk on the treadmill the other day and that was the only way I could stay in zone 2 🥲 but maybe I just need to focus on that more to build up my fitness!
@edwin54195 күн бұрын
@ if it shoots up at a particular point (assuming you're warmed up), it's likely you're past zone 2. That should drift up slowly over the course of a few kms at the same pace.

I find listening to podcasts or a whole album which is slower in pace (like Fearless, Taylor Swift) makes me run slower and keeps my heart rate down 😊x
