I was mainly a Drum n Bass head but would often wander into the Hardcore room at places like Slammin Vinyl to watch / listen to Robbie Long as i loved his darker style at the time. It just blows my mind how fast time has gone by since those golden years. Youth really is a fleeting thing.

A brilliant time for hardcore Robbie (Along with myself at Bedlam Records) and a few others were some of the very few championing in the heavy kick hardcore between 2002-2006 TNC had such a great stable of artists. Very underappriciated

Yeah I remember seeing Robbie Long on one of his Australian tours. He played at the Hyperspeed rave in Sydney back in 2003. Cracking party and dj set. Was held at a University Atrium.

Ooh looking forward to this! TNC remains one of the all-time best labels. I purchased the f**king lot back in the day ha ha! Robbie Long is in my top few DJs of all-time, along with Brisk, Sy and Sharkey. Had an incredible roster of artists. Robbie, Devastate, AMS, Stormtrooper, D-Lyte, Orbit1, Ethos etc etc. I think we all miss those days. But I’m glad we had ‘em. Hardcore Will Never Die!! ; )

I gotta agree it was an amazing label and one not easily forgotten it seems. The way TNC and the south coast put their stamp on UK Hardcore back then was fantastic and there are now a few extras that I have to have for my collection now.

An amazing time. I remember back in 2001 hearing that TNC was Rob’s new label and the buzz was there as people awaited the first release. ‘PSA’ and ‘We’re Back’ were already doing the rounds. Remember getting my copy sometime in 2002 from IMO Records.

Thanks mate and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Was a bit worried with how long it is, but there was such a huge story to tell with so many little bits that I’m glad we did it fully in the end.

`2007/2008 was some great raves .all different syles of hardcore, you had this style from thin and crispy, then raverbaby, quosh, maximum impact, clsm, scott brown, freeform, marc smith, kurt and joey riot, dougal and gammer, al storm. and probs a few more ive forgot. never heard the same track more then twice in a night. unlike the late 90s of just every dj playing heart of gold, shooting star and eyeopener

Amazing label!! Introduced a new variety to the UK Hardcore Sound!! Really one of my most favourite labels of all times!

They really did bring something different but that’s always seemed to be Robbie’s way. He’s always pushed those boundaries to offer an alternative to what his colleagues were pushing.

Quality work as always my friend. Said it before but its great what you are doing, effectively the chronicles of hardcore which generations to come can visit, as long as youtube and the Internet remain in place 😂

Thanks Andy. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your kind words. At least now we can say there is some evidence of the great times that were had during these massively influential eras.

Let's get the history of CLSM. Easily one of the most influential to me personally, they really had something special back in the day.

Loving these deep dives man! Glad I found your channel... I imagine your too busy but would also be cool to see some deep dives into the rise and fall of the big clubs and promotions, the history of Rezerection, Helter Skelter, Club Kinetic, Dreamscape etc etc etc..... Just a thought, anyway keep up the good work 🤙🏻

Nice work Stuart. Really enjoyed this one. Still have that JSD record and most TNC's... I was lucky enough to grab a job lot of new TNC's and other records off Robbie some years ago. He was a super nice guy, and even took the time to email me advice on setting up a home studio. Love the label, and mad respect for the crew.

Thank you and totally agree with you on Robbie. It’s been really nice to work with him on this. I don’t have many TNC in my collection as yet but they are building slowly and now I know the history behind JSD, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.

@@stuartkmusic Thankyou, I really want to write an essay on why this was so damn good. I'm feeling a bit twisted right now 40 years old and still not learned self control lol. I will say though that when things got boring TNC ripped it a new one, it was refreshing. One of the best labels ever. Comparable I would say to CLSM, Luna C and that weirdly great guy vinyl Junkie! Great days, I appreciate the good times you all gave me. PLUR you fecking legends!
