I was born in germany but went to school in china for 3 years, when i was a child. The first time i went to taiwan when i was 22 i immediately felt in love with taiwan because of the taiwan people and the culture. I was so "shocked" that I felt more connected to taiwan than to mainland china, although i was raised in germany with mainland background. I really felt the difference to china. I always told my parents that going to taiwan felt like going home but going to china was just like visiting family.

Taiwan is what everyone in the Western world THINKS China is like. What a beautiful people and place to visit. If I could sustain, I would happily live out the remainder of my days in Taiwan simply due to the people and the amount of history they refused to forget...

So what you mean is that you both love taiwan and china.
As an American who is living in Taiwan, I wholeheartedly agree with everything that was said. I decided to continue living in Taiwan because the community here is just so hospitable. Just a few weeks ago I was playing Pokémon Go and was looking down at my phone next to a bus station and a Taiwanese woman walked across the street to ask if I needed help because she thought I was confused about the bus system. She went out of her way to do this. It wasn't the first time someone had offered such help. Taiwan's social manners are really just beyond anything else I've experience.
There's a reason why the ratio of white men to women in Taiwan is 15:1... and women might love Taiwan because of scenery and "kindness" of people, but men think differently and are by nature territorial. That's why the "kindness" of Native Americans led to death of over 12 billion people, most in latter years were deliberate extermination of American Indian tribes for conflict of interests.

I'm singaporean chinese. When I heard kaixi talk about taiwan, I kept nodding my head. Freedom of expression is not something everyone will appreciate, when when it's lost you will understand its importance.
taiwan's most beautiful scenary is it's people. that is the absolute truth. no matter how much the ccp tries to smear taiwan, the people of taiwan is what attracts others to support them.
I watched these on patreon and they are so good. His perspective is one not often heard, so brings a lot to the conversation about china and the wests relationship. I also realized how much Taiwan would lose in a reunification. Taiwan is doing really well. They have gotten to a good place, china would purposely ruin all their hard work as a unified society.
