As someone who also went and stayed with my cat for euthanasia, please don't walk out on them. Trouble was her name. She was so underweight and weak that she could barely stand until she realised she was going for the big sleep and she stood up to put her head on my hand as if to say "It's okay, I'll be at peace now" and I bawled HARD, this was a few years ago, I'm 28 now and even at like 23, I took time off work because Trouble needed me. My Dad was also there so even if I couldn't handle it, she was not alone in her final moments. I miss her to this day and I am tearing up writing this but I know that she knew she was extremely loved. She was 18 of 19 years old and had been with me most of my childhood and early adulthood. I love her so very much still.

BMI is such a load of crap. I'm 5'9", and according to the charts I should be 175-180lbs. I was last at that weight in college, and looked like I was in a starvation camp. It was so bad my aunt took a picture to send to my mother. When I had cancer, I dropped down to 200-205. No gut, and not even looking all buff. Unfortunately through treatment I lost a lot of muscle and regained the weight as fat, topping out at 245. Now I'm back down to ~220, built back a fair bit of muscle, but am considered obese. The problem is an extremely tall body and short legs. I have a 26" inseam, but a regular tee shirt barely touches my pants. If my legs were proportional I'd be around 6'3".

It's a relief to hear another person say that! I'm short, not even chubby, but that says I'm obese. I'm squishy at best 😭

My high school English teacher from Jr and Sr yr is ex-military, still works out regularly and is in good shape. He's probably about 5'8-5'9 and is 200 lbs, but most of it is muscle which bmi doesn't take into account. Edit: according to BMI he is morbidly obese.

For Story 21, people always talk about that stuff not because its hard, but because the animation studio actually took the time to pay attention to those easy, but little, details. A lot of movies skip over little details, even the bigger ones like Disney.

There is no cloud- it's just someone else's computer. Is that the reason why for those mysterious photos of random strangers that glitched into my digital photo album storage a few times before?😗

I worked at a place that actually closed, drained and cleaned the pool when a kid deliberately pooped in it and customers screamed at us. We had so much abuse thrown at us for trying to do the right thing so I am not surprised most places just scoop.

I actually did a paper on how the media has impacted the body image of the general populace and about how both male and female media stars such as actors and models are causing mental health issues. Female media stars are often underweight and do suffer from the actual disorder of anorexia which in turn causes anorexia and bulimia in the people trying to look like them. Male media stars are often muscular men who also don't have the healthiest habits, often working out to an amount or at an intensity that's actually dangerous which causes the same thing to happen in men with many pushing steroids and also working out to a dangerous degree to fit what's portrayed. Both genders suffer heavily from body dysmorphia due to the "ideal" bodies pushed by the media as a whole which can (tw) cause depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.

The commebt about pet euthanasia really hit home. I had to let go of my cat of 13+ years some weeks ago and it was heartbreaking, but I would not change that I was there with him, no matter how much it hurt me. Leaving him alone when he was already scared never crossed my mind. Love your pets and stay with them during the end if it's at all possible, please. It hurts, but having you there takes away some of their fear and comforts them more than you can imagine. No animal should die alone and away from the people they love and trust the most.

I still remember our 15-16 year old female Chihuahua. She was suffering from Cushing's Disease, which is incurable. There are pills that can help manage it, but she wasn't reacting to them, and the bloating was continuing. We took her to the vet for their opinion, as she had become extremely lethargic, and that day, couldn't even get up to greet my sister (who she really loved and was always happy to see) who came to go with us to the vet. The vet recommended quality of life consideration because of the lack of response to the drugs, and we opted to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge. I remember putting the dog on the counter for the vet, and the dog turned, and put her head against my waist like she knew what was going to happen, and was saying goodbye. It broke my heart.

Hi retail worker here I've been in the buisness for 7 years and story 64 is absolutely incorrect the center store makes majority of the money in the store, the meat department loses money that's why it's always placed in the back. The company I worked for during the first 5 years of my career had 50% to 90% mark up on everything in the center store, produce is 25% to 45% the bakery is 60% to 100%, frozen and dairy is 35% to 50% and the meat department is -15% to 10% Overall store sells were 40% center store (including dairy and frozen) 30% bakery, 15% meat, 10% produce, 5% deli Just a little knowledge in case you wanted to know, but who cares? 😂
