Melinda, just an FYI you might want to put that round piece / flange back on the pipe up against the wall to seal it so that water doesn't get down in your wall and cause mold and problems. Condensation from steam can build up inside there if you don't have it covered. Just thought I would give you a little friendly advice

If your place is a rental, contact your estate agent and notify the owners of the issues, it shouldn't come out of your pocket if it broke on its own, if you own the home it's kind of tough luck lol 🤣 we bought and the first month had to replace the kitchen sink, the hot water system, and all the flyscreens lol 🤣 joys of owning.
