India may become the third largest economy soon, but it comes at the cost of massive inequality and skyrocketing unemployment. The resulting impact is many Indians risking their lives to migrate to the US.

Just people who think they are smarter than others. But are not

People who wish to become affluent overnight without wanting to put in efforts and struggle resort to illegal immigration. Taken in by the glamour of the West, they just aspire but never work or plan to realise those aspirations. With its limited resources, All the Governments - Central and State - do their bit. Ultimately, it's the people who have to plan, use the resources and work to achieve their dreams. Ever seen a Bird teaching it's young ones to fly ????

Until government form a solid policy of right to jobs, it will continue. Most engineer and management students are doing job which cannot even support themselves

What a well edited piece of Propaganda. Indians migrating to western world is a very old phenomena.

Definitely looks that way. Unfortunately, forming community faces same issues globally. Farming laws which would have helped them became casualty for the sake of of few rich farmers.

Let it be a Propaganda. But do you deny the mass migration of Indians is at all time high? serious unemployment issues, especially among our young population? senseless and corrupt politics? hopeless legal and judicial system? inefficient government bureaucracy? toxic mass media? And the worst part is we common people have to live with it as we can do nothing. To enjoy life in India you've to be rich, powerful or with a mindset of no social concern.

@@adaikkalam Inherent nature of human beings is to test waters seeking greener pastures. First reason India was invaded and colonised for centuries. It's a pity we as Indians didn't hold political parties/leaders for corruption and administrative reforms. Agree our top level bureaucracy behaved as brown sahibs rather than pubic servants. Why we have allowed powerful to control the things when Constitution gives equal rights to all citizens? As long as people remain corrupt, we can't expect better leaders regardless of the domain in which they operate. I don't even want to talk about our judicial system which can't uphold justice in a timely manner especially for poorer population who can't afford spending money on lawyers and Lawyers colluding and draining both the parties for years!

When BJP led Union GOvt is not able to accept that such problems do exist, which they currently deny....It would become tough for them to find a long term solution! The current situation is Higher/more the degree ..tougher to find a job in India !!!

Even if we agree with your assertion, what was done in India regarding population control since 1947? Sincerely wish India had gone for a capitalistic model after independence as socialistic model even if we ignore inspector raj, ensured that we all remained poor. I can't forget the number of hours spent in queue for kerosene, sugar and rice ( I am not even mentioning the quality of stuff we got) Market economy may not be the best but it's far better than any socialistic models. Sheer numbers of our population makes it difficult to get the right setting for everyone but India has done much better than many of it's peers in spite of massive population. Of course these comparisons mean little for those who are bearing the brunt. Wish we spend more time in improving administration rather than politics for overall good.

There are advanced degree holders driving rickshaws and taxis in India. While India has made great strides in its economy; unemployment, overpopulation has resulted in Indians trying to go overseas. This is a no-brainer.

Over population, totally agree. Even in west people are driving taxis in spite of having those degrees etc. For me the issue is dignity of the job is an issue in India as one is judged by the job they are doing which is not an issue in west generally. More than the qualifications, skills to the do the job is definitely lacking in India which is being addressed now at some levels.

@satishchandraGK “Over population, totally agree [...] now at some levels.” ================ You sounded reasonable until you turned into an apologist for Modi_JI_ by saying ‘which is being addressed now at some levels’.

@@ex.hindu.now.atheist You are entitled to your opinion and I have no issues with that. I am not an apologist for any one and try to see issues beyond political angle. Things could have been better in India if people had concentrated on deliveries and administration rather than politics and sucking up to politicians and asking for favours. Govt officials working as private staff of the party running Govt of the day rather than carrying out their responsibilities without fear or favour . I have seen enough for more than 50 years (since I started to form my own opinion) . I am not sure how old you are but people in my age group can vouch for sprouts of things being addressed. It takes time for long pending issues to be fixed but hopefully we are in the right direction which wasn't the case for a very long time.

Not over population. Indian development is running on the shoulder of hapless ,poor people, i can prove that with statistics. But the benefits are distributed or rather snatched by idiots and scums who sit at the top

I think a big part of it is also a lot of Indians pile into the same jobs, the holy trinity of being doctor, engineer, lawyer. Would be good if other important jobs make a decent wage so that kids are not forced to just squeeze into the same jobs especially if they have no interest. What about teaching, nursing, etc? This is very different from Filipinos cos they have at least some variety even though they lean slightly more towards nursing, care related jobs. With Indians, it leans on just a few specific jobs (higher pay, can immigrate) and then leaves the field empty for other positions. And then everyone is unhappy and feel cheated when it don't work out or they got in later when the market becomes super saturated. Just because some uncle back in the 90s managed to get a Green Card because he was a engineer, don't mean that you need to gamble away your future hoping it will work out just the same. Society cannot exist if everyone is a doctor, engineer or lawyer. There are actually opportunities everywhere if Indians can just for once stop worshipping false idols (the West) and learn to get creative with their passions.

I must mention that the Sikh gurdwaras with theur free two times a day meal, free shelter for needy and different kinds of other helps to individuals cutting across religious and community lines is doing much more than govt. of india does for people from India and other places to survive in foreign lands untill they land some suitable means of substinance ,thus preventing people from resorting to unlawful means inside and outside India. I hope other communities learn from them as soon as possible, the faster the better. Social support is an integral part of western culture but for people of Indian subcontinent the sikhs have set an example of high standards despite being comparatively much lesser endowed financially. Sat sri akal 🙏🙏
